PokéPark Kanto: a real-life Pokémon Safari unveiled

Pokemon Christmas 2023 collection

In a move that echoes the success of Universal’s Super Nintendo Land, The Pokémon Company is set to introduce its very first theme park, PokéPark Kanto. Teaming up with Yomiuri Land Co. and The Yomiuri Shimbun, this groundbreaking Pokémon-themed attraction will be seamlessly integrated into the existing Yomiuriuland amusement park located in Kawasaki, Japan, offering visitors a chance to experience the Kanto region in real life. While specific details about the park’s attractions remain elusive, it appears that PokéPark Kanto will diverge from the high-intensity rides of Universal’s Super Nintendo Land, opting instead to immerse visitors in the natural beauty of the Pokémon universe. The theme park’s emphasis on nature aligns with previous collaborations between The Pokémon Company and Yomiuriuland, notably the Pokémon Wonder segment in 2021, allowing players to explore nature trails and encounter iconic creatures.

Although not as grandiose as its Universal counterpart, PokéPark Kanto promises a unique outdoor experience for fans of the beloved franchise. The park’s focus on nature-themed events suggests a departure from traditional amusement park fare, offering a refreshing take on Pokémon-themed entertainment.

  1. This just in: The Pokémon Company has made such a ridiculous amount of money from such low-effort games that they have managed to successfully genetically engineer actual living Pokémon into our world. This is just the beginning.
