2023 had been a very busy year for Nintendo, and it wasn’t just because of new games and downloadable content. Nintendo was releasing a slow but steady stream of updates to their various first-party Switch games. Not surprisingly, that trend has continued into the new year with no signs of slowing down.
For example, a brand new update was released for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Once you update, the game should be at version 2.2.0. As for the patch notes, this update doesn’t add much. Its only purpose is to add support for the new Noah and Mio amiibo. You can see the patch notes down below.
Additional Functionality
- Now compatible with “Noah” and “Mio” amiibo. By scanning the amiibo in “System” > “amiibo” in the Menu Screen, you will be able to use the following special clothing items.
- Noah amiibo You can acquire the “N’s Consul Suit” outfit for Noah. You can also get variations without Noah, Lanz, or Euni’s jacket.
- Mio amiibo You can acquire the “M’s Consul Suit” outfit for Mio. You can also get variations without Mio, Sena, or Taion’s jacket.
- Fulfill certain conditions and talk to the NPC Miibomii at Llyn Nyddwr Camp in the Fornis region to receive rewards identical to what would be received with the Noah or Mio amiibo.
I’m waiting for shipping info on my order of the amiibo set, had to use Gamefly which is the last place I’d preorder anything but they had them without me waiting on Play-Asia or Nin-Nin Game to see if they would have them.

I hope you didn’t order it from Target or Gamestop, sometimes they take more orders than they can actually fill and have a habit of canceling the orders right before release date…, well that’s what I’ve experienced from those online stores multiple times.
