Princess Peach showtime appears to use Unreal Engine

The captivating Princess Peach Showtime is seemingly using Epic Games ever reliable Unreal Engine. The information was found on the back of the Chinese display box for Nintendo’s heavy hitter for March. Several Nintendo games in recent times have used Unreal Engine, the last to do so was the charming, Pikmin 4. Princess Peach Showtime launches on Nintendo Switch on 22nd March.

    1. I was gonna say “Don’t you mean 2nd?” but remembered that Yoshi’s Crafted World was their first Unreal Engine 4 game, and Nintendo are really good at optimizing their games with UE4, which is usually an Engine known for Unoptimized games.

  1. Low-key want Game Freak to use Unreal Engine for their Pokémon titles. Other than that I’m optimistic about this Peach game.

KH3 might have been a huge letdown story wise (not counting the Keyblade Graveyard & post KG segments; oh & the opening, Olympus, & Twilight Town segments) but the graphics & artstyle was incredible. I REALLY hope they use it for the next main Zelda game. With a “toony” 3D Studio Ghibli artstyle. Like what RwanLink did. looks it up real quick Oh. He used UE5 for that. Still.
