SEGA and Atlus leaker Midori is back and has responded to a fan question on social media platform X. She was asked whether we should expect a remake of Persona 4 to which she replied, yes, but we will have to wait a while. It is not clear how long the remake of the acclaimed Persona 4 has been in the works at Atlus for, but once it is ready, it’s ready.

Ugh. Given they neutered Yukari so hard in P3 Reload, can’t wait for Yosuke to lose some of his snarky behavior. While NOT restoring his abandonned gay route, because ATLUS thinks LGBT people deserve to be mocked or villainized.

Meh, not super bothered about a P4 remake tbh. I feel like they’ve squeezed as much out of the P4 setting and characters as they possibly can, beyond just giving the game a visual update and P3R’s gameplay.
I’d rather they just focused on making new games now that P3 has got it’s long awaited remake, but I know how much ATLUS love to milk that P4 cash cow.
I thought the same thing. Golden was already complete as far as I’m concerned. I’m worried that they will mess things up by trying to add more. I felt that way about P5R. I liked all the gameplay changes, and the new social links. I even liked the new characters. And the new final persona forms seemed more fitting than the mythological ones. But it felt like the new story was told at the expense of the original story. It kind of trivialized the MCs sacrifice, and all they did. The new scenario didn’t slot in as easily as the Golden scenario did.
Oh man, you didn’t like the royal extra chapter? I think it’s a way better ending than the vanilla one! Idk I feel pretty positive about a p4 remake, hopefully we get something similar to palaces for every character
I dunno. I been really wanting a Persona 4 Strikers type game. Solving Shadow related cases all over Japan. That would be cool.
I feel like that concept would be more suited to the Persona 3 cast tbh, seeing as they canonically go on to form the Shadow Operatives and fight shadows professionally.
The P4 cast could join them at some point during the game though, seeing as the two groups are on friendly terms after P4AU.
Persona 4 already got milked with all those spin offs, and they were way better than the p5 ones, what I actually want is a proper remake with a reimagined shadow world and some of the characters appearing as adults in persona 6, Chie became a cop and wrestled a fucking bear I have to see my fucking girl again man, I love that goofy girl to death

I was getting excited for a minute there. Hope this happens! This is one of my favorite games (and anime) of all time. A modern remake of this would send me over the moon.

Honestly, I’m kind of indifferent to a P4 remake: while it does have my favorite music in the series, I feel there’s not much left to improve on
Visuals for the most part. Especially if this is real and releases after Persona 6, it could piggyback off of the upgraded graphics. Persona 6 will likely release on current gen hardware, where Persona 5 originally released on last gen. Also, the last time Persona 4 got an overhaul, it was on the Vita and the visuals weren’t much different compared to their original PS2 counterpart. That’s 3 generations of upgraded hardware, this will look amazing by comparison and (again) assuming this turns out to be real I couldn’t be more hyped to see this game with modern visuals.

Please…if it’s not a lie…make sure the obesophobia and predator female duo are properly punished, dead or alive…or I demand the Goro Akechi prequel/sequel/gaiden in reimbursement…
