Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake features three difficulty settings & quality of life changes

More details have emerged regarding the long-awaited HD-2D remake of the classic Dragon Quest III. The game will feature three different difficulty levels which are titled Dracky Quest Mode, Dragon Quest Mode and Draconian Quest Mode. Dracky Quest Mode, the easiest mode, means that the player has increased damage and some of the many in-game bosses will not automatically recover health. In Draconian Quest Mode, the hardest mode, bosses will have increased HP and it also rewards less XP and gold. Some new quality of life features include the ability to manually save at any point and an autosave function. Other features include recall, destination and quest guides and speed adjustments for battle and movement. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake launches 14th November on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

  1. “Hard mode gives you less experience”
So you want me to grind even longer to beat the game…lol? I’ll stick with the normal difficulty, thanks

  2. The fun thing about DQ 3 is that you can select the number of people in your party (from four members to a solo quest and any anything in between) so you can naturally adjust the difficulty by having fewer members. It’s entirely optional. This sounds like an obvious thing but I rarely see people talk about this or play the game with anything other than a full party. Solo quests are extremely difficult but really fun, and it mirrors the DQ 1 experience.
