  1. It’s going to have trouble crossing one billion then. Movies make most of their gross in the first 45 days… regardless if it came out in the end of April in certain places (Japan) or not.

  2. I swear someone is going to say this a flop for some reason in this comment section, it always happens! The first Mario movie made a billion dollars on may 7th of 2023, so this still is on track to earn a similar amount of money to that movie. Happy to see it doing well, more people got to discover the Mario galaxy games because of this movie and I couldn’t be happier.

    1. It doesn‘t matter how much money the movie made, when the story was bad. You can color a turd with gold color and spray parfume over it, but in n the end, it still is a turd. I don‘t mind if people or you liked the movies, good for you all if you were entertained. But to me, it was nothing but memberberries and loud noises. Oh well, maybe next time…

      1. Judging by your comment, you’re turd to me too. You may not like it, but if you’re bothered by what others like and their happiness, you need therapy.

        1. The only person here, who needs therapy, is you because you can’t talk with other people like a normal person. And you haven’t read my post completely, because otherwise you would have seen that I’m okay with other people liking this movie. The only problem I have, is the quality like MrFrost64 mentioned and yes, I’m aware that you haven’t mentioned it, MrFrost64. But this is a topic one can’t avoid on the long term. You all can deny it as much as you want, but the quality of the movie as like the story is underwhelmingly bad. I actually worries me that people blindly pay for this. And please… don’t come with the “it is a kids movie” argument, because we had kids movies with more quality than this. That’s all I’m saying.

          1. The more I look back at the movie, the less I like it. I defended it so much the first week it came out, but now I just see a mediocre movie with a very weak plot.

        2. The guy was saying he doesn’t mind if people liked the movie and was saying for him there wasn’t a lot of substance to it. The one who is bothered by another person’s opinion here is you, ironically.

    1. It might hit 990 million and stop.
Happened to the Minecraft movie… it got to 960 million.

I was just saying, it might not join the one billion club.

I dont really care either way.
      Movie was decent.

  4. I’m sorry, but I think the movie is just bad. I don’t think the excuse that “it’s for kids” is really excusable either, because those are the years that people learn stuff the most, and a lot of messages that I learned from shows and movies have stuck with me. I’m not saying it needs a deep message, but a good storyline would’ve been good. Illumination made a storyline with the first Despicable Me movie and it was simple but good.

  5. I actually enjoyed this movie and it was made for kids and those Nintendo Enthusist! I am excited to watch it in 3D when it drops on May 19th on digital!!
