At Capcom’s 45th General Shareholders meeting questions were raised by shareholders regarding the much loved Mega Man franchise and what plans the company has in store for fans of the long-running series. Capcom answered by saying that the Mega Man series is one of their highly valued IPs and that they are considering how to create games for it on an ongoing basis. Capcom also spoke to shareholders about the games which won the Capcom Super Elections and said that again they are looking to leverage their classic IP. Here’s what was said:
Q: Please tell me what plans you have for the Mega Man series.
A: Mega Man is one of our highly-valued IPs and we are considering how to create games for it
on an ongoing basis.
Q: Will the results of the Capcom Super Elections influence what titles you develop in the
future? I would like you to consider releasing new titles in popular series, not just remakes of
existing games.
A: We value all our IPs and are thinking of ways to utilize them not only in games but in other
media as well. As games, we think the gameplay and specific appeal that an IP holds are
important and we take a multifaceted approach to our games, including not only new titles
and remakes, but also ports and collections as well. Going forward we will continue to consider how to leverage our IPs, working so that a wide range of players can enjoy these games worldwide. Thank you for your valuable opinion.

Legends 3 would be a great place to start.
Omg I would love this sooo much . I still play 1 and 2 at least once a year.
Actions speak louder than words.
Physicals of 9 and 10?
Still haven’t played one. I’m told Mega Man 11 is a good representation of the series.
It is a pretty good representation. You should get the collections when they are on sale. I also recommend changing the settings to the retro style settings and you will get so much more of the original feel. You will still not get the full experience from the OG but it’ll be close.
This is just a whole lot of words, but no answers.
I call bullshit.
You clearly give barely a shit about the series, you don’t want to do a new game. You’re too busy milking Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter to death.
Preach, brutha, preach!
That and Booty!Chun-Li. The only reason she’s as relevant as she’s been in recent years. Half the time, she’s the only SF female there.
I would believe this, it wasn’t for the fact that the last new mega Man game we got was 4 years ago.
Mega Man 12, mega Man x9, mega Man Legends 3: how many more ideas do you need to consider?
