Tales of fans will be delighted to hear that the recently announced Tales of Graces f Remastered is just the first step in older games in the beloved Tales of series being remastered for modern platforms. The news was shared by Tales of IP’s general producer, Yusuke Tomizawa, who announced the “Tales of series Remaster Project.” It is not clear which Tales of game is in the pipeline next, but Tales of Xillia has been listed by various retailers in the past few months. The Tales of series is celebrating its 30th anniversary in December.

“The Remastered Project aims to bring older Tales of titles back in a way that can be enjoyed by both old and new players. The remastered versions will make certain QOL adjustments to make gameplay smoother and more comfortable. For example, the series’ well-known Grade Shop will be made available from the start. In addition, it’s been confirmed that Tales of Graces f Remastered will add functions like auto-save, various skip options, and on/off toggles for enemy encounters.”

  1. Thought they’d already started that to be honest seeing as I already have two Tales games on Switch but I like them so more are welcome

    1. From what I’ve heard (from the internet) the F stands for Future. It was added when the game was ported to the PS3. It was actually originally a Wii Game. So when it was ported to PS3, the F was added to address the DLC that was added, since that takes place in the future

  2. I hope they remaster Tales of Xillia 1 and 2 for modern platforms, i played Tales of Graces F on the PS3 but the trophies was bugged.

  3. Lord Foxxy Foxington

Is this why we got the garbage re-release of Tales of Symphonia previously? Because they’re doing a proper Remaster of it?

  4. If they do, I hope its the Narikiri Dungeon X version of Phantasia and the PS2 version for Destiny. For Eternia I’d like them to include the skits that are only in the Japanese version and I’ve never played Destiny 2 so that would be cool to have too. I would compilate them in one collection and call it: “Tales Of Anthology”.

  5. Hideo Baba departure from Bamco really put this franchise in a downturn. Tales used to be one of the premier JRPG that released regularly every 2-3 years. Baba was far from perfect but he sure was a good producer for this series.

  6. Day One buy for me Symphonia’s remaster was awful and that was a fave of mine which hurt. But love the vesperia one and looking forward to adding graces to my collection
