Japanese gaming site Famitsu has published an extensive interview with Sonic x Shadow Generations producer Shun Nakamura which took place at last week’s Tokyo Game Show. One of the questions posed to Nakamura was the game’s length to which he replied that the Shadow Generations portion of the game is about the same length as Sonic Generations, which sounds especially meaty. Sonic x Shadow Generations launches on 25th October.
Famitsu: This game contains two titles, but how much gameplay is there?
Nakamura: It depends on how you play, but I think “Shadow Generations” is about the same as “Sonic Generations” or maybe a little less. If you play both, you can enjoy it for a long time. In the past, only “Sonic Generations” was released, so it’s a great deal.

I can’t be the only one who’s getting sick of SEGA trying to build hype for this game.
yeah it’s almost like they want to advertize it. fucking shills.
It’s one thing to advertise and another thing to spam the web with every pointless deail about the game.
We all know it’s going to turn out mediocre anyways.
Shadow Generations being “about the same” length as Sonic Generations implies that fans can expect a similar gameplay experience in terms of duration. The original Sonic Generations featured a campaign that could be completed in around 5-6 hours, which means Shadow Generations is likely targeting the same range. Players can anticipate a comparable blend of speed-based platforming and action elements across iconic levels. However, the exact length may vary depending on individual playstyles and how much time players spend exploring or replaying levels.
