DICE Awards 2025 winners announced

This year's Dice Awards nominees

The Game Awards are the biggest video gaming awards that exist, but they aren’t the only ones. Many other places have been holding awards shows of their own. In fact, a lot them have been doing it for much longer than The Game Awards have. One example of this is the awards that The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, or AIAS for short, does every year.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences might not sound familiar to you, but they are the ones behind the DICE Awards. This year is their 28th year of the DICE Awards, and they have announced the winners earlier today. Unfortunately for Nintendo, they didn’t win anything. 1. Man did Nintendo not pay these award shows or something? I know 2024 wasn’t the craziest year for Nintendo (or the gaming industry as a whole), but they still had some bangers between Paper Mario TTYD remake, Emio, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Hell, I would even say Mario & Luigi was better than a lot of these games despite its mixed response.

  2. North American and Europeans: Well deserved, Astro Bots!
Meanwhile across Asia: the Super Mario Odyssey copycat wins GOY again??? What a joke awards!

  3. 28 years of the DICE Awards and I still feel like most people barely know about them compared to The Game Awards. Most people now will play online games like space waves. And I love games like that too.

  4. The DICE Awards showcase the best in gaming, and it’s interesting to see how long they’ve been running compared to The Game Awards. It’s a shame Nintendo didn’t secure any wins this year, but congratulations to Balatro and Astro Bot!

  5. This is a very thorough and well-organized roundup of the DICE Awards 2025 winners. It’s great to see all categories listed clearly, making it easy to track which games stood out this year. Astro Bot winning Game of the Year is especially interesting, showing how polished gameplay and design still matter a lot. Speaking of gameplay-driven experiences, I’ve recently been enjoying simple but addictive titles like driftboss online, which proves that even minimal mechanics can be incredibly engaging.

  6. A solid and informative post that captures the highlights of this year’s awards really well. The diversity of winners—from indie titles like Balatro to big productions—shows how broad and creative the industry has become. It’s exciting to see innovation happening across different scales, much like in AI tools today. For example, nano maker AI is bringing multiple AI capabilities together in one place, which feels just as forward-thinking in its own field.

  7. A very engaging summary that highlights both major winners and lesser-known titles. It’s interesting to see how games like Helldivers 2 and Balatro performed across multiple categories. The industry’s focus on innovation and player engagement really stands out here. That same focus on responsiveness and challenge can be seen in fast-paced games like slope 2 unblocked, where precision and timing are everything.

  8. Nicely compiled list with clear formatting—perfect for anyone wanting a quick but complete overview of the awards. It’s always exciting to see which games dominate different genres, especially in competitive categories like action and sports. That competitive spirit is something players enjoy across many formats, including rhythm-based challenges like speedstars game, where performance depends heavily on timing and consistency.

  9. Great coverage of the event—everything is presented clearly, and it’s easy to follow even for readers who aren’t deeply familiar with all the nominees. The mix of big-budget titles and indie winners highlights how creativity drives the industry forward. That idea of keeping things fresh and engaging is important everywhere, including casual gaming—something you can see in baseball bros game, which keeps gameplay simple but enjoyable.

  10. This article does a great job presenting the full scope of the DICE Awards without overwhelming the reader. The structured layout makes it easy to scan through categories and winners. It’s especially nice to see recognition for music and audio design, since those elements shape the overall experience so much. Creativity in games often overlaps with other creative fields too—tools like text to music AI are a great example of how technology is expanding what creators can do.
