SEGA has stated in its recently published Financial Results for Q3 of the Fiscal Year Ending March, 2025 shareholder Q&A session that it is currently looking to strengthen the long-running Sonic Team. The Japanese company says that it will achieve this by increasing the overall number of staff and reinforce them through additional hires and additional mergers and acquisitions. The last game released in the Sonic series was the fun Sonic x Shadow Generations.
“Atlus is an important studio for us to expand Japanese IPs overseas and we think it is necessary to strengthen it, and the studios involved in the Sonic and Like a Dragon IPs are also short of staff, and we are looking to reinforce personnel through additional hiring and M&A.”

Sonic X Shadow generations was pretty good. As was Frontiers. I feel they’re doing okay. Could be better, but they’re trying. Unleashed isn’t a mess though? But to each their own.

Of course there’s nothing surprising here SEGA is the greatest brand in gaming and as such must keep strengthening their greatest studio that’s what make SEGA the best.

I’m happy to hear that Sonic team will begin growing again: maybe they could hire some of the talent in the modding and fan community like they did for mania, then we could get some really top notch games 🤩
All they need to do is keep adventure format, bring back chao garden, and make a sequel to Sonic heroes somewhere down the line 😂

i dont understand why they havent dropped the most safest sonic game.
Simple story. Sonic, tails, knuckles all boost gameplay but tails can cheese the level/ fly to alternate paths and knuckles climbs/digs to find lower alternate paths. online racing. chao garden.
