Nintendo has updated Switch 2’s backwards compatibility list

When the Switch 2 was officially revealed by Nintendo in January, they had confirmed that the console would be digitally and physically backwards compatible with Switch 1 games. However they also mentioned that it would come with some exceptions. When the Switch 2 Direct happened, Nintendo elaborated more on this by posting a list of Switch 1 games and the level of compatibility that they had with the Switch 2.

The list isn’t final, as Nintendo is still making adjustments as they continue to test games and try to improve compatibility. For example, Nintendo updated a couple of games on the compatibility list. Fortnite was confirmed to be getting a Switch 2 version, so there is no longer a need to make the Switch 1 version compatible. Meanwhile, Fitness Boxing was confirmed to be getting updated so problems on the Switch 2 can be fixed. A social media post relaying the news can be seen down below.

Through all the trolls who keeps saying drop the price, how about you just go buy what you want and stop trolling at everything. The price is fine. I just hope it doesn’t go up more because of the orange buffoon’s tariff nonsense !! Tears have happened like this three times in our history and each time it led to severe recession and depressions… and if you don’t like the price of the switch, don’t buy it go buy you’re even higher priced Sony and Xbox products… and stop being whiners … or Sony Xbox fanboy/girls Who obviously don’t have enough good games to play on your system so you’re coming here to trash Nintendo !!

    1. Honestly I just hope the price won’t go extremely high for Switch 2? I’m not ok with the Switch 2 price. I wish they could have put 350$ to 400$ for the system as a price point.

  3. I’m going to buy a Switch 2 just because. Nintendo, if you’re listening, please “rise” the price🤭. By $200. lol. It will stimulate the economy. Win/win for everybody.
