There have been rumours doing the rounds for quite some time that Atlus is busy working on a remake of Persona 4. Now those rumours have reached fever pitch thanks to one of the original voice actors Yuri Lowenthal being rejected for a role by Atlus. Lowenthal voiced Yosuke in the original release of Persona 4. If Atlus are planning the remake in a similar style to Persona 3 Reload then we are in good hands.

I’m not interested if none of the OG VAs are there. I did the same with Reload.
ATLUS has no respect for their non-Japanese voice actors, and it shows. Guess the Phantom Thieves are next to be recasted because their OG VAs are “too old”.
so atlus is giving us a SECOND remake of p4? no thanks. you can keep it. great game and all, but i got my fill with the first release on ps2. besides, p4 is widely available on every modern platform already! fans really want to see a remake of persona 2…that is most in need of quality of life updates and some modern mechanics. when publishers consider what to remake, shouldn’t they also look at factors such as age and accessibility when determining what game is most deserving or higher priority? atlus didn’t even release the second part of persona 2 (eternal punishment) for the psp when those remasters came out aeons ago… it has since been fan translated, but the point still stands. sheesh.
He probably just spill the beans due to his rejection.
I hope this happens. Persona 4 is one of my top 10 games of all time. I would love to see this get the remake treatment.
What happened to the rumors of Persona 2 being remade? Those need remakes and Persona 1. Fine with this being remade. Also what happened to rumors Arc System was making Persona 5 Arena? Honestly a big Shin Megami Tensei fighter would be better with all the sub series like Persona, Devil Survivor, and others in it.
Persona 4 golden is my second favorite game ever (Cave story being the first) but if they remake persona 4 and they make the dungeons interesting like p5, no doubt it’s going to be my first.
