The person who leaked screenshots and the title Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is back and this time they are promising the inclusion of both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob Squarepants. While it does sound like an odd inclusion, SEGA does have a healthy business relationship with Paramount. Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is bound to be at the Summer Game Fest as we are all awaiting a firm release date for the game and that would be the perfect time to showcase both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob Squarepants.

The Sonic the hedgehog franchise is at an all time high with regards to sales and popularity since the 90s.
Sonic the Hedgehog always should have been some kind of racing game. Not necessarily with vehicles, but still something which embraced the “speed factor” of Sonic. 🤷♂️
Hopefully these non Sonic characters are left as DLC. Racing Transformed was tarnished by wreck it ralf and danica patrick, while metal sonic was stuck as launch dlc.
Ralph made sense being in the base roster given Sonic’s little cameo in the movie (plus, like their relationship with Paramount, they have a deep partnership with Disney). Danica Patrick, however, could’ve been DLC

And people are telling me Sonic isn’t dead when the writing is ass, the gameplay is automated and bad (3D but 2D as well), the characters are all now cardboard in term of personality (especially Sage from Frontiers and modern Amy, who’s obedient instead of hot-blooded), and now he’s whoring SpongeBob and TMNT, who have NOTHING to do with him.

It’s interesting but sounds like they are trying to do what Mario kart Arcade series already did back in 2005 and it’s not surprising that all wanting to add SpongeBob and teenage mutant ninja turtles to their game is the equivalent to Mario kart Arcade game adding pac-man characters but also very exclusive Japanese arcade titles characters in as well not to mention the whole warp thing is something the arcade Mario kart has always done. Not to mention taking items from that game into a console game. But I hope it ends up being good as Mario Kart World but I think it could change opinions if Nintendo adds in pac-man and other characters.
This is a neat collab. I love all 3 of these franchises! And Sonic racing games range anywhere from really amazing to decent. This is a pickup for sure!
