Nintendo has announced that attendees at this year’s Fan Expo Canada will have the opportunity to go hands on with the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The blurb from Fan Expo Canada also confirms that the game is still scheduled to launch later this year, though we are still waiting for that all-important release date. Other games which attendees at Fan Expo Canada can play include Hades II, Borderlands 4 and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition.
“Fan Expo Canada attendees will have access to play the latest and upcoming titles on Nintendo Switch 2! Nintendo of Canada is inviting you to visit the Fan Expo Canada in Toronto, Ontario, to check out the latest—and upcoming—games for the Nintendo Switch 2 system… Fan Expo attendees will be able to play upcoming games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (available later in 2025).”

I still don’t understand why they don’t provide a precise date… even though we have games that will be released next year or at the end of this year. It’s quite incomprehensible as a method and it’s the same for Elden Ring, there is no date.
Don’t get your panties in a twist. They will provide a release date when they provide it.
Ewww
That’s exactly what your mom said when you were born.
Bc this is how they get you to build up consumer anxiety and make us more prone to buying asap.
Some of our business transactions, if not most, are rooted psychologically and thus tend to have emotional overtones.
Because the game isn’t developed/polished to the point of providing an exact data. It’s not rocket science.
Also I, for one, am strongly against announcing games so early in development, but that’s not going to change. As for Elden Ring, ask Bandai.
Nintendo seem to think that MP4 is bigger then words can express. Yet sales wise, I wouldn’t say this is their biggest franchise. Keeping it’s release a secret is doing more harm then good. I’m sure it will still sell like hot cakes, but Nintendo need to be more open with their customers.
Quite the opposite. Nintendo don’t really care enough about Metroid to promote it.
I feel they’re holding off on a fork release date as Retro wants to ensure it’s fully polished for both switch 1 and 2
Keep holding your breath Metroid fan. The best years are FAR behind you. Blocking this website for posting a boring article.
