Many were hoping for a follow up to the excellent Sonic Mania but it never came to be and the team went on to release Penny’s Big Breakaway, which sadly failed to set the world alight. Sonic Mania director Christian Whitehead has shared a number of images from the prototype stage for Sonic Mania 2 on the eighth anniversary of Sonic Mania. The images down below show both Sonic and Kanga Clanga Badnik.
