Atlus says Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2 graphics quality has matched their standards

Persona 3 Reload is an excellent JRPG though it’s widely noted that the Nintendo Switch 2 version has performance issues based on the recent eShop demo. Ungeeked website managed to catch up with Kazuhisa Wada (P-STUDIO Director) and Yoshihiro Komori (Persona 3 Reload Nintendo Switch 2 ver. Director) to chat with them about this particular version. The team said that they feel that the visual quality on the Nintendo Switch 2 reaches their graphics quality standard. Whether the performance issues on the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Persona 3 Reload will be ironed out with the final release remains to be seen.

“For the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, we started development before the hardware was actually released, and we didn’t have a great idea about third-party software [as well]. After the release of the Switch 2 came a lot of new titles, so that was sort of unexpected, but it also works in our favor. But after it has been released, we are sure that our graphics quality has definitely matched the standards.”

  1. I really would’ve rather they focused their efforts on making it a solid 60fps instead of focusing on the visual quality.
I was originally planning to double dip on this, but I think I’ll just stick to the PC version.

  2. I don’t mind the 30fps lock so much as it’s poor frame pacing. The demo feels off despite being locked at 30. And I say this having put maybe like a 100 hours into SMTV and enjoying it on the Switch 1.

  3. No just port Persona 3 FES to Switch and honestly Persona 4 too or allow for both Golden and OG Persona 4 to be played. How’s the remake of Persona 2 coming along?

  4. You know what system also met the requirements of a persona game? A dang PS3 an that was for persona 5 and I have it. I am 44 years old id thought by now the subject of a game doing 60 fps consistently with no issues would be in the past. But no we still got games dropping to 30. How about we have AI fix that. Instead of giving it all the complicated crap that nobody wants to deal with. Make it a priority to fix your basics. At least they fixed screen tearing somewhat.
