Nintendo has announced that the next game to be added to the ever expanding Nintendo Switch Online library will be Luigi’s Mansion (2001). This will be the sixth GameCube game included with the service, following The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, SOULCALIBUR II, Super Mario Strikers, and Chibi-Robo. Luigi’s Mansion launches on 30th October 2025 (the day before Halloween) via the “Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics” app, exclusive to Switch 2. The app can be downloaded now from the Nintendo eShop for anyone with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

Yeeees finally I can play this game for the first time. It was expected as I understand they already confirmed the game would be added and not a suprise it will be for Halloween.
I didn’t buy it back on Gamecube (big mistake) and when they re-released it on 3DS, the Switch were already out and I didn’t wanted to play on 3DS anymore så I was just disappointed they didn’t released on Switch at that time.

Eh, I still have my physical copy from over 20 years ago, I’ll just play that. In fact I’ll be doing my annual playthrough of the game sometime next week before Halloween, I just need to figure out what gimmick I should add besides “no retries on gold-framing portrait ghosts”.
