Kirby Air Riders is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2 and no doubt many of you are enjoying it. The official Kirby Air Riders X account has revealed that they have many in-game events planned to bring people back to Kirby Air Riders. However, they have stated that the in-game events are planned to run for a year after launch and it is not certain what will happen after that. Whether they decide to repeat events or extend them remains to be seen.
Kirby Air Riders will have regularly scheduled in-game events. Participants can earn rewards like street names, stickers, and themes to customize their license. Events are planned to run for a year after launch, so please look forward to them
I hate FOMO rewards in games :(
I don’t necessarily hate them but I get the sentiment. It’s why I don’t hate the special mass outbreaks I’m Scarlet/Violet but I do hate it when I miss it if it’s something I want to hunt. I think these events are good to bring people back, wish they add them as rotating events when the game eventually goes offline.
At least the rewards are pretty inconsequential. Not a big loss at all.
I haven’t gotten the game yet but I’m picking it up after thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving hasn’t happened yet? That seems so late! It’s in earlyish-mid October here. It must be weird to have it so close to the high holidays. Though I guess it would feel normal for you if it’s always been that way.

Us in the US have ours on the 4th Thursday of November. So the 27th this year.
I feel like events might see an extension- it’s very early in the Switch 2’s life cycle, and the game will likely still sell well months after launch, thus justifying continuing support. If I’m not mistaken, Smash Ultimate still has online events 7 years later, just not new content.
You’re not wrong. I get on Smash Ultimate every so often and a pop up for them appears once you go past the title screen.
