Nintendo has announced that two retro 3D platformers will be arriving on the Nintendo Classics Nintendo 64 app on Wednesday, 17th December. The games are the classic Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble, both of which graced the Nintendo 64 back in the day. You can check out the HD versions of these two 3D platformers in the video down below.

      1. (suggestion: this Biblical verse: “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” – Ephesians 4:29, New Living Translation version)

  1. Tonic Trouble. I played this on a Pionex PC in the 90’s. I don’t think I ever got past a level.

Looking forward to trying it out as an adult to see what’s what.

  2. Seeing Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble make their way to Nintendo Classics N64 is such a treat. Both games were standouts of the era, and having them preserved in HD for the app is a perfect way to close out the year. Rayman 2 especially remains one of the most atmospheric and charming 3D platformers ever made—it’s a title that really deserves to be experienced by a new generation of players.

And honestly, for me, seeing Rayman 2 on the Switch 2 is a dream come true. Lo voy a gozar un mogollón, adding that little touch of my Spanish roots to the hype! It’s going to be an absolute blast diving back into these classics.

    Thanks for the update, Sickr.

    Best regards,
