Skyrim Nintendo Switch 2’s Version 1.2 update is apparently a big improvement

The recent update to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Skyrim Anniversary Edition is apparently a huge improvement with Digital Foundry seeming very pleased with what they have played. You may remember that the game had numerous issues at launch which have thankfully now been fixed. The game still looks a little rough around the edges in handheld mode, but docked mode is seemingly the way to go with this particular game. You can check out Digital Foundry’s thoughts in the video down below.

    1. It’s a nine year old game, not a fifteen year old game. It’s based on Special Edition, which was a remaster in which they swapped to the Fallout 4 version of the Creation Engine and added a significant amount of graphical flourishes and details like volumetric lighting and effects, a bokeh based depth of field effect, increased draw distances supported, 64-bit rendering targets and a whole lot more. Everyone conveniently forgets that part when they talk about this game.
