It seems as though Japanese gamers are lapping up the recently released Resident Evil Requiem on the Nintendo Switch 2. Reports are circulating that the latest Resident Evil game on the Nintendo Switch 2 is sold out at three of the biggest retailers in The Land of the Rising Sun. Those retailers are Yodobashi, Bic Camera and Yamada Denki. Coincidently, Amazon Japan has also sold out of copies of the Nintendo Switch 2 version. Seems Capcom made precisely the correct decision launching the game on the platform.

Curious if it meets expectations because MH Wilds didn’t. That did very well or was reported as such in the beginning then was considered a underperformance also no Switch 2 port. This also has to make up for previous flops Path Of The Goddess, Exoprimal, Dead Rising Remake, flop licensed collections, and not sure how they consider SF6 given they may have wanted higher sales by now, the expectation was 10 million and licensing costs make it worse guest characters/costumes. The high Capcom cup prize and slashing the PPV prices will affect them too. Also paying for big reveals and marketing like Lil Wayne promoting SF6 or IShowSpeed for MH Wilds.
Dragons Dogma 2 was another flop as well.
It’s interesting how the Switch 2 version of the game seems to be the most popular version despite some minor issues. The port is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but it is strange seeing how the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game aren’t selling as well

Avoid buying this game all the right wing lunatics like buy Marathon and Saros is out soon buy that instead way better games.
