Dusk Golem says nothing was cut from Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake, but lots is remixed & changed

Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem has been on a bit of Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake divulging spree. We now know that the project is directed by Kazunori Kadoi & Yasuhiro Anpo, who directed the well-received Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake. Now Dusk Golem has told fans that no content was cut from the original version of Resident Evil Code Veronica. Instead a lot of the content has been remixed or changed to fit the scope of the remake. Capcom has yet to officially announce the Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake.

“What I’ve heard is Resident Evil Code Veronica in general is just a bit expanded, nothing is cut, some stuff heavily remixed (I hear it’s the Remake with the most things changed or happening differently than you may remember, but every enemy, location, major event, is there. & much even expanded). Chris falls into this too, Capcom realizes this is Chris’ first time appearing in the RE engine Remakes as his younger self, some people wanna’ see that, so Chris isn’t a small part of the game & expanded, it’s just also so is Claire.”

  1. I wish they’d remake three again, its horrible how much of a careless cash grab it was. They cut out entire locations, characters, story, bosses, and hours of gameplay from the PS1 game. Like its really horrible when you know about what was took out.

      1. I loved the attitude jill had the only thing i remember people whining about was her attire was different but the og was litterally a pre order dlc they also made carlos way better

        1. The writing in RE3 Remake was complete shite. Nemesis is no longer terrifying, Jill swears like a sailor like an immature teenager, and Carlos not only now look like a South American stereotype but is boring now.

    1. I agree that they made 3’s remake too linear; the learning curve and exploration of Raccoon City were a big part of 3, and the mercenaries started with OG 3, so it would be nice, but I’m afraid it won’t happen. The remake of 3 wasn’t all bad, though.

    1. They will definitely change it to be less offensive. Don’t be a bigot; trans people exist, get over it. Also, yes, Capcom wants a larger audience. Today’s generation is more progressive, and they don’t want Claire looking bad. Try not to gatekeep the franchise. I’m not trans or LGBT either, so don’t think I’m saying this stuff because I’m feeling attacked; I just don’t like seeing hate being spread. I played Veronica on Dreamcast back in the day and for sure think that specific line will be changed; it’s out of character for Claire’s political views in the later movies and remake of 2. She’s an environmentalist.

      1. Thank you Benjamin for being awesome. No matter what others say, you are awesome for posting what you said. Thank you

  2. He’s lying. Dreamcast version of Veronica had 9 miniutes extra footage and of wesker than ps/pc version and I bet the remake that isn’t here has that extra 9 minutes cut out
