One of the big reveals at this weekend’s Summer Game Fest was the unveiling of the latest and final part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. Officially titled Final Fantasy Revelation, the game promises to be a constant-packed and visually stunning experience on all platforms, when it launches next spring. More information was shared in a new interview which you can read highlights of below.

- Switch 2 version needs an extra level of optimization that they will do after the PS5 and PC development has settled down.
- Landing the Highwind anywhere is tough to pull off so they decided on parachuting in.
- You get the Highwind quite early in the game
- You can fly around the entire world freely
- If you reach the end of the world you end up on the other side like a globe.
- All areas return from Rebirth, including Gongaga but won’t be exactly the same
- You have a single Chocobo companion that levels up
- Main story is order is predetermined, but not the side content
- You can explore the entire map once you get the Highwind
- Open world scale has leveled up from Rebirth
- Vincent can switch between Beast mode and normal mode at the press of a button
- Cid specializes in aerial combat
- More combination attacks between different characters
- New “FITS” system allows characters to change jobs, such as “Black Mage”, with new outfits.
- All FITS are unlocked from the start
- There are 4 FITS for each character
- FITS have a skill tree
- Key concept for the game is “Resolve”
- Cloud and co resolve the face the final battle
- The devs resolve to conclude the FF7 Remake series well
- Zack will be a more important part of the game than in Rebirth
- Wutai is fully depicted
- Rocket Town will appear towards the end
- Underwater world will appear
- Knights of the Round will appear
- Won’t have the same character affection system as Rebirth due to the difference in story
- No multiple endings
- Want a single ending that can say “This is the conclusion of the FF7 Remake series”
- Side content will vary based on each player’s choices
- Minigames will have easy and normal modes
- New option to skip minigames
- Scarlet slapping minigame will be included

Being multiplatform, yeah I can see this selling well. I think rebirth underperformed at first due to exclusivity and it being more so the middle of the trilogy, it was almost like filler even though it was really good. With all of the ports and discounts going with remake and rebirth does get the word out for this. I bet the finale will sell well enough, but we have to wait and see.
Multiplatform doesn’t guarantee success. Also the game got people to buy on PS5 first then PC because of timed exclusivity now people will just buy on 1 platform PS5 or PC. Switch 2 sales aren’t crazy yet to carry this and no one buys on Xbox the Final Fantasy games flop hard on that platform add on Rebirth sold less than Remake which was also exclusive this will sell even less more people didn’t like Rebirth sold they’re not coming back it will be the same niche audience that buys this. Even worse if something big comes out around the same time.
Many have not played it and won’t. Some will wait for discount and a trilogy release. They aren’t buying it multiplatform when they bought it on PC the best platform and on PS5 the main platform. Most are sticking there. The people who wanted this and like it are niche and have played it already on PS5 it won’t grow that’s the issue with this game a long trilogy redo where you need to play the original to understand it dragged out over $210. People don’t have the tolerance or nostalgia for it. Also Kingdom Hearts being ghosted is causing animosity same way Mortal Kombat 1 did for Injustice fans. Final Fantasy 16 went multiplatform and still underperformed and I think Remake Switch numbers were stat paded articles trying to gaslight it “sold out” in select locations ignoring they aren’t printing as much anymore with a push to digital.
Ton will play it and it will keep selling. Switch 2 version of Remake and Rebirth have been selling well. You can cry about it for years as nobody likes Kingdom Hearts
Agreed the game is coming to multiple platforms which will hurt it the double dipping will be gone many will just buy on PC or PS5 instead of on both, the other platforms no one really buys on those like Xbox, and even less in overall sales. Then there’s the disconnect Rebirth sold less than Remake and even less will buy this one most are just confused by this trilogy most normies don’t know what’s going on.

He also hated breath of the wild, the guy’s a dummy who only cares about politics in games. I think this FF7 part 3 will do fine with the multiplatform release and the finale being more exciting then the middle part of ff7 which was rebirth. You have to realize that a lot of people have been playing the ff7 games because of these multiplatform releases, I would expect this to be a pretty decent selling game.

Still nothing on Kingdom Hearts. Hard pass on this slop of an awful trilogy we get a trilogy remake before Kingdom Hearts 4 2 of the 3 games came out before Kingdom Hearts 4.
You kingdom heart fans have to learn to be patient. The 3rd game took 6 years to make, so you can’t just expect for kingdom hearts 4 to launch only a couple of years after announcement. They are really big games with many complications with disney, so just wait, it will be worth it.
