SEGA is heavily recruiting for Sonic Team

SEGA is on a heavy recruitment drive for the Sonic Team with a range of roles being advertised to scale up the team, presumably ahead of a new mainline Sonic entry. Vacancies include a Producer role along with a Lead Planner, so these aren’t just run of the mill positions at Sonic Team. Here’s the positions currently available:

  • Scenario Writer (Sonic-Specific): Handling game script creation, director coordination, and voice recording. Time to turn those fanfics into canon! Well, maybe not all of them…
  • Producer (Sonic-Specific): Managing the overarching project pipeline, proving SEGA is dead serious about fortifying Sonic’s development line.
  • Lead Planner: Driving the overall game design, tracking planning milestones, and shaping the core gameplay loop.
  • Lead Graphics Programmer: For the rendering geeks. This role focuses on researching next-gen rendering tech and designing custom render modules for SEGA’s in-house engine.
  • Client Programmer: Coding player mechanics, enemy behavior, and game progression for home consoles using internal engines, Unity, or Unreal.
  • Technical Art Manager TA Engineer: Overseeing art pipeline strategies, designing workflows, and utilizing Maya, Houdini, and HDAs to bridge the gap between art and code.

  1. this site need to be better moderated some jerk keeps stealing my name and im getting really angry now

  2. I don’t have what it takes due to being under qualified and I would be dropped because some freaks on social media would spread lies about me and get me fired.

    1. I’m pretty sure that vtuber was being homophobic and transphobic while trying to represent the Sonic community. People didn’t make lies about her they just presented the truth and Sega decided they didn’t want anything to do with her.

    2. lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
maybe never explicitly break rules stated in your partner agreement with your content

also never watch this idiot too but that one’s for you

  3. Isn’t this Japan exclusive. Honestly weird given the next main game is set for 2027 so are they already unsure of it? Does this mean Ian Flynn, his staff, and Aaron Webber are gone? They need to just go back to early 2000’s Sonic and bring the 4Kids voice cast back. Remake Adventure 1, 2, and Heroes make Adventure 3, make a new Sonic Riders, hire CyberConnect2 to make Sonic Battle, hire Platinum to make a Shadow game and a Silver game. Get back to the Shiro Maekawa style. Bring Sonic X back.

  4. Those existed since 2021/2022 you can even confirm that by wayback machine
And some of those aren’t even related to expanding the team but to find replacements for some people who left the team
