Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 listed as 41GB

The official Nintendo site has revealed that the long-awaited Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 will be roughly 41GB for the digital edition. It seems as though Bandai Namco and FromSoft have been optimising the game, resulting in a smaller than expected file-size for the open world adventure. Elden Ring Tarnished Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on 28th August.

that is like half of the PC version. I might actually buy the “physical” as I know full well it will be GKC.🙄

  1. That’s like half the size of the playstation and xbox versions, that’s crazy to see! But I wish you could buy the dlc and game seperately because that 80$ price tag looks really off putting even though your saving 20$.

  2. Actually this is kinda amazing. In practice sub50 gigs is the sweet spot before I might need to delete a game to make space. I might pick up the physical for this

  3. Even when they can fit the game onto a cartridge they wont. All of the small studios along with indies are doing full physical releases, they seem to have no trouble affording it. It’s Corporate Greed and they will keep doing it if you keep supporting it. Physical wouldn’t be almost gone if people didn’t support practices like this. Still never purchasing a Key Card. Never.

    1. If it’s about greed, why don’t they just make 64 GB cards? The answer is simple because that would be very expensive for both publishers and consumers…

I’ll add that you’re being pretty hypocritical by opposing gamekey cards without real arguments (especially when I see some people confusing cloud and digital…) because I bet you also buy on Steam! GameKey cards are a good compromise between physical and digital, and price-wise too. Plus, they allow resale, which digital alone doesn’t.

      1. Steam has been around and operational since 2003 with no plans to shut down it’s digital store front. Elden Ring is also going to yo be $80 on Switch 2. There are 64 GB Cartridges and as that person stated. Many Smaller companies are having no trouble paying to produce physical cartridges on Switch 2. You are also always bias and blindly defending Nintendo no matter what. I’ve seen alot of your more recent outbursts as well. In reality there’s no point in even responding to you Sofiona. Because you’ll always be the type of Nintendo fan that gives the rest of the community a bad reputation. Everything is always one sided for you. If it isn’t praising and worshiping Nintendo then you lash out on people. You always lash out on people on this site
