Square Enix has confirmed that both Octopath traveler games Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop today. However, the company has not mentioned pricing or a potential upgrade path and save transfer has not been revealed. Both HD-2D games are highly regarded and they should run at a silky smooth 60fps on the Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s weird how much square enix is supporting the switch 2, like they are throwing their hat into the ring and dumping everything they have ever made on the system. I feel like we are going to get a port of dragon quest swords, because what else can they port at this point?
Also please have an upgrade path.

That’s already on switch via Zodiac games. I am personally hoping for a port of 13, 15, and 16 so that each final fantasy game is playable on the switch. Even though those aren’t the best games in the franchise, it would be cool to have them to make the switch have the ability to play every mainline game.
Hopefully these get physicals too. I love these games enough to double dip for replays lol

Sweet I’ll definitely get OCTOPATH Travelers 2. Im still playing Adventures of Elliot and love Enix 2D RPG games. I hope they are currently working on Bravely Default 3 and OCTOPATH Travelers 3 though.
Hey SickR, the eshop page has appeared for both of these games with new details. There is no upgrade pack for each one with no save data transfer. Octopath 1 will cost 60$ and Octopath 2 will cost 60$. These will release September 30th, 2026.

That sucks. I was able to buy Octopath Traveller 2 recently when it was on sale. Ain’t no way I’m buying it again. I’m sure the original version will be fine.
