Notable Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem has been spilling the beans about the unannounced remake of the first Resident Evil game which he says is in development at Capcom. The game apparently started pre-production just last year around September and August time. Dusk Golem says that it is likely that the Resident Evil Remake will enter full production after development on the upcoming Resident Evil Veronica, due out next year on multiple formats, is fully completed.
Will there be a re-remake of Resident Evil 1?
“Yes, it started early production nearly a year ago (I hear last August-September is when it started pre-production), it’ll probably enter full production after Resident Evil Veronica is finished with its crunch period it’s in right now.”
This is the donkey Kong country returns of horror games, where there are so many versions. I mean DKC returns technically has 5 versions (Wii, 3DS, Nvidia China Machine, Switch, and Switch 2 update). Can wait for RE1 ReReRemake.

Lol no. If you played it recently back to back with the modern release of RE9. You can easily tell they need UI/UX updates, voice acting redone, map system reworked, etc. Plus RE goes in threes, camera fixed angels, action, and remakes and its going to be a very lovely remake once its out!

We do not need a second remake of RE1. One is enough, and is already a great game.

Interesting update for Resident Evil fans! A remake of the original game sounds exciting, especially with modern technology and improved gameplay possibilities. Capcom has done a great job with previous remakes, so it will be interesting to see how they reimagine the classic experience.
I’m glad they are remaking it with the new style. I haven’t played any of the originals (because I prefer the remake style). My entire experience with Resident Evil has been the remakes and new games like 7 and Village, so I have been itching to eventually play the very first one. 😁
I don’t want this new Jill attitude in an RE 1 ReRemake nor in RE5 remake. She was my favorite character then she got butchered and became completely unlikable.
