Pokemon TCG Pocket sees sharp player drop in latest quarter

Despite getting off to a roaring start the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket app for iOS and Android devices has seen a large drop in active players. The news was discovered in DeNA’s financial results which saw the company report a significant decrease in both revenue and profit. A lot of this was attributed to Pokemon TCG Pocket with Monthly Active Users dropping from 39 million to 23 million in the current quarter. DeNA is naturally planning to reverse this with a number of new in-game events and promotions.

    1. Okay as good as palworld is its no where near anything like pokemon outside of catching pals that’s where the sames end

    2. Nah, subs fell because we all found out that we can subscribe half the time and still reap the benefits of all 12 months lol

The drop in player counts is just people mad about the RNG, it’s laughable how obviously rigged the game is.

Also, this game has nothing to do with Palworld.

      1. RNG isn’t great but I mean… through my friends list I’m collecting main every card anyways so… It’s great fun getting variants but I’m really just in it to collect. What they should have done is another pokemon TCG game like the old gameboy game. full story and world.

    3. Palworld doesn’t have a mobile game with card trading or card battling, so I’m not sure how Palworld would impact this at all.

  1. Palworld has nothing to do with player dropout, it’s the content to keep people engaged on a monthly basis and I think people are sick of the same old content, if they add new things people will come back, maybe not everyone but most will.
