Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has officially confirmed that “Pokemon related” games are in development for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii.

Whilst this undoubtedly won’t come as a surprise to many it’s good to get official confirmation that we will be seeing new entries to the series on both the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii.

While it is absolutely not a surprise to see pokemon games for the 3DS, it is a surprise to see them coming to Wii !
There is only one Pokemon game on Wii for now, and it wasn’t a good game, so let’s hope the next one will be better !
Actually there are 2 games on wii, Pokemon Battle Revolution and Pokepark Wii :P
I hope the Wii versoin wont be like those games. Instead the actual RPG game like the handheld versions.

My guess for the wii would have to be another battle revolution-type game, now for black and white.. For the 3ds? Most likely a new ranger game.. But if i had it my way, “pokemon channel 3ds!” And for the wii, “hey you, lopunny!” Although it would be cool if they could use the 3ds cameras to ‘look for pokemon’ in the real world.. Sort of like that psp game.

I’m with Tboasad that it will most likely be a Battle Revolution (or Colosseum) type game for the Wii. I’m hoping (and it’s a far possibility) for a Pokemon MMO for the Wii…it’s an idea that’s five or six years past due.
…Pokemon on the 3DS isn’t a shocker of course.
If it’s anything like Colosseum and XD, I will be happy. Doesn’t even need Shadow Pokemon. Just have a full game that has a story and all that.
Never played colliseum or XD always wanted to so I hope it’s something like that

I’m hoping for something along the lines of Stadium 3. A combination of the best of each console game. The championship cups, mini games, gym leader challenge, etc. If they put in a full out story mode to compliment it that would be amazing, too.

I hope they wiill make a pokemon rpg…Even though it would be very cool i dont know why they choose to keep rpgs to handheld consoles…I hope they make a game like pokemon coloseum or xd…But they should add more things.Firstly i think they should make a new region and a new criminal organisation.They also must include wild pokemon…And lastly they have to make a new battle system..Giving commands to pokemon is very boring.How would it be if you could move your pokemon and make it jump and dodge attacks.Something like tekken with pokemon moves where battles become interesting and more difficult instead of them being based only on your pokemon stats and moves…This would also attract older people i think.And if it is a big risk they could release a mini game to see it reception first and then include it to a full game

i think like it will probely be a new rumble for the wii as they have made a new one in Japan and soon to be released in america. And id rather it be a remake for 3ds than a new ranger :D
Maybe we should put it this way,
Changes and some improvement suggestion for future Poke’mon games:
1. Dodge – a POKEMON should have a dodge animation and not the usual no animation and text only when the attack misses.
2. Attack (For console) – POKEMON should have an attack animation that will get close to the target and not just zoom.
3. Defend – POKEMON should at least show a defend animation when attack and not just stand and move around. Maybe suggest that changes of defend is the same as SRW games.
4. Body Part movement – When using a physical attack, POKEMON should have a animation on every move like punching, kicking, head butt, tail whip, etc. This is one of the thing I notice in POKEMON XD when TYRANITAR uses IRON TAIL..it uses its hand to attack. That is wrong.
5. Ability – Some POKEMON ability should have an animation. Like BLAZE ability maybe they should put up an animation that the POKEMON is sprouting little fire on it surrounding indicating that the ability is in effect. or SHIELD DUST showing that a dust surround a POKEMON once it has been attack by an attack with added effect.
6. Counter (Move) – POKEMON move counter should be activated immediately after the user is hit by an attack. Additional suggestion that the counter attack type defend on the user type as well.
So far, that all my head is saying… Hope for more further improvement in POKEMON games. Thank you for Nintendo and POKEMON company for making such wonderful games!

a pokemon game like Fire Red / Leaf Green /// Heart Gold / Soul Silver (the /// separated the different game) could be for the nintendo 3 ds….
I think I most likely will buy it for my nintendo 3 ds, considering there isn’t a single pokemon adventure / role playing game for the nintendo 3 ds yet….

how bout ur lazy butt just plays a regular ds game without the 3d?! not only might it be bad for the vision section of your brain, but it more than doubles your battery life without it. its people like you that make me feel bad about being a gamer, sorry
