Along with the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS gaining a second analogue peripheral comes the news that Monster Hunter Tri 3G will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS this year. The game is an adaptation of Monster Hunter Tri for Wii and will reportedly feature 12 weapon classes, underwater battles, local multiplayer, potential online components, and will support the second analogue stick. Who’s excited?

Sounds cool. I might get it.
welll is the second analogue stick a must have or only a good option?
It sounds as though it’s pretty much something you’ll need for the game. It will undoubtedly be used to adjust the camera angles. Maybe they’ll bundle the add-on with the game?
Ohhh, a bundle would be a great idea, I’d definitely get it.
Is this worth my money if I already own it for the Wii?
This will be a sort of expansion on it. This game will add 12 different weapon classes (not sure how many tri had, but i do own the wii game). this is going to be a definite buy for me!
mixed feelings here! the analogue is weird i dont know what to think until i can feel it on my hands
lets see if it comes to the US first, the language though suggests you dont have to use the second analogue stick, maybe used a button layout similar to freedom unite?
As an avid Monster Hunter fan, I would definatly get this… if it’s released here.. I’m still hoping that they release Monster Hunter Portable 3 in the west, it’s been out in Japan for a while now and I’m not sure whereabouts Operation Cherry Blossom is yet in terms of success.
portable 3rd is looking more and more like a dream for us MH fans, I mean even the HD version for PS3 is highly doubtful Sony and capcom dont like the risk with the games reception in the west lets hope nintendo puts it out here. Crossing fingers but no hopes up.
Excited for MH, absolutely shattered on the attachment. I like to get kissed before I get screwed like that. Up until today I was a 100% certain on getting a wii u. Now not so sure… Nintendo has done me over way too many times now. If I get it I’ll at least wait until they drop the price 6 months later… Oh wait, then they’ll come out with a new version… *sigh*
easy there big fella, all you need right now is to take a nap, come on, get.
Right now, I’m hyped for Dragon Quest X to really care about 3DS online RPGs beyond Heroes of Ruin (especially when they’re both far off and a port, AND from a company that basically publicly beheaded the Legends-era Megaman)
This.
…althought I’m welcoming MH Tri 3G. It’s a title I would definitely play and means MOAR GAMES for the 3DS…especially with the salty line-up out now.
Not too certain about the second analog stick. Maybe if it was a slither sized attachment that didn’t make the system look super uneven. Or if it was a bit big (like the ‘shopped picture) and did something extra like more battery life…or somehow brought Flash.
Still not as bad as http://i.imgur.com/7Xt9c.jpg
That actually looks pretty neat! Horrible in terms of portability and pocket-friendliness, but neat for looking sci-fi and high tech!
Very un-pocketfriendly…
…and dorkish looking.
I’m still a little confused about the anolog stick thing and whether they will give us a refund and stuff like that…
o um oops just clicked the like for it… haha….
…*link*…….
Cool. I never really got into MH Tri, so this will be a must buy, specially with the add-on.
Im def supporting the add on especially if it works well. I dont care wat it looks like as long as my games play awesome. I figured third parties would be more eager to put out games with that new attachment. Said so in the previous article. I will be picking this up, Love MH
YES YES, I want this!
Now I’m not a very big monster hunter player,
But I swear that the pic is of Atoli from the .hack//G.U. Series.
can someone explain what they mean by online components? if they are gesturing at possibly something like mh tri had done then awesome. this title will be a nice addtion to pick up
Already own it on Wii, and even though I love it to death I can’t see myself putting in all the work again. Also, I despise the analog add-on, so I’ll be skipping it :\
So how will i fit it in my pocket? I bought my Wii so I could game at home and my 3ds so I could play on the bus. Guess Imma have to buy pants with bigger pockets :P
I think it’s a good idea because Imagine
you just bought a Nintendo 3DS and 1 or 2 months later announcing a new Nintendo 3DS you will regret having bought a Nintendo 3DS without the circle pad when you could have waited to buy the one that had the circle pad
Probaly true but i heard that they waz going to let you have connectivity with the 3ds and wii so prorobaly you wont have to start from the beginning. also they have a new area just for the 3ds. also i’ll post my friend code for the 3ds in a minute.
Here it is
