Nintendo of America has teased its Facebook fans with three spaces for Wii U first party launch titles. We already know that Nintendo has New Super Mario Bros Mii and Pikmin 3. Any guesses as to what the third mystery title might be?
“Guess what the initial game releases will be for Nintendo’s new home console, Wii U? Soon we’ll scratch off to reveal the names! ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒.”

Because Retro is working on it. Duh. Not sure if it will be at launch, but it will exist. Same goes to F-Zero and Eternal Darkness.
Eternal Darkness? Ah, I would love for that to happen! I just don’t see it happening though……
Never say never, my friend. There’s a great possibility that Nintendo will bring Eternal Darkness back on Nintendo’s console… possibly for either Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. The forgotten franchise will soon return.
Excuse me but when did Retro did actually state that they where working on a Star Fox game?
The same goes for F-Zero and Eternal Darkness, there is no word that that Nintendo is actually making these games.
If fact Nintendo probably doesn’t care about Eternal Darkness.
I would say the third one is the Retro game that is in development. Probably something with a more serious and dark tone to please the “hardcore” gamers and dedicated gamers alike.

Nintendo never confirmed Pikmin and the 2D Mario would be launch games.
We know for sure that Pikmin 3 will be a launch title?

I just saw on Facebook the games. 1st is Majora Mask 3D! 2nd is Mario Kart Wii Universe or something like that. 3rd it’s Metroid Prime 4.
The Prime series is done and over and Majora Mask 3D isn’t going to happen.

1- This is about Wii U games. If I remember correctly, Nintendo confirmed that they want to limit the use of 3D to the 3DS and, thus, Wii U will not be using it, ruling out MM3D
2- It seems unlikely that Nintendo would release another Mario Kart game so soon after pulling out all the stops for Mario Kart 7. Unlikely and improbable, but not impossible.
3- The prime series ended with corruption. Nintendo have confirmed that it would be a trilogy and then it would end. So unless they “pull a microsoft” similar to what they did with Halo (originally claimed to only be a trilogy as well, but now 4 is in development without collaboration with Bungie), it is highly unlikely that it’ll be a Prime sequel. Maybe Metroid, but not Prime.
Take that dick out of your mouth. They pretty much already confirmed they will remake Majora’s Mask on the 3DS. Miyamoto was asked about it in an interview, and he stated it would depend on the fans. Nintendo has already acknowledged Operation Moonfall, but they said they want to release an original game first, as they just came out with OoT 3D. It’s going to happen eventually. OoT 3D already happened, so why not its sequal?
Because this is Wii U. That’s why.
That doesn’t even make sense with the size of the scratchy things.

But New Super Mario Bros Mii was just a tech demo, it was never stated that it would be turned into a full game.

Unfortunately, it has only been confirmed to “be coming to Wii U.” There’s no evidence anywhere that it’s going to be a launch title, as likely as it may seem.

Don’t worry about it, though. I came to the exact same conclusion before this came out. However, I’m with you in that the final game won’t JUST be NWMB Mii.
We know they are in development, but it hasn’t been confirmed to be launch titles.

Shovelware!!!! :D But really I hope not. I want something good. Zelda (unlikely), Metroid (unlikely), or a full-scale Mario platformer (probably not). My best guess is that Starfox game that’s been making the rounds on the rumor train.
I think that it will be pikmin 3 and super mario bros mii. The third is a mystery though. I hope it is majoras mask 3d or another zelda title for the 3ds!
Nintendo of America really knows how to tease us fans and supporters. Look forward to the final answers this coming Tuesday during their press conference at E3.

Seriously though, when will this be revealed since from the way it’s written it seems like they’ll reveal before E3, otherwise they’re just going to be saying the names and not really revealing them.
Though I’m guessing they’re just teasing us with the name lengths.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I don’t understand why Nintendo created the smash-hit game, then later forgot about it and left it in the dust.

I think they’re pulling our leg with the characters. I don’t think the characters mean anything. This is because Pikmin 3 is a launch title and it’s 8 characters. We also know New Super Mario Bros. Mii is announced along with Lego City Stories being published by Nintendo. They’re the 3 games.
