      1. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like that game. I’ve played it on my PS3. the combat system is awesome, but I find the game boring and repetitive to explore, then I lost my interest.

        1. I see where you’re getting at, exploring is pretty tedious. But once you got side quests to do, for me I its fine. And with some of the best real time combat in any RPG, a simply great game in my opinion. Not the best, but it gets the job of draining 100 hours of my life done :)

          1. The only games I spent + than 100 hours playing this generation was Zelda Skyward Sword and Dark Souls. Maybe when I lose my interesting on DarkSouls, I’ll give KoA a chance.

            1. How did you spend 100 hours on skyward sword you just run around and cut bushes for hours on end? I spent a lot of time in skyrim and red dead redemption.

  1. Really happy to see Kingdoms of Amalur up there, extremely underrated game. Also happy to see the 3DS dominating, as usual. All and all, a very good week for gaming in general, apart from Vita failure.

      1. “everybody knows sony depends on third party for support so they can careless”
thats the problem with sony, they allways rely on 3rd party, why do you think sony is 3rd with ps3, because nintendo and M$ took sony’s 3rd party away.
also sony mostly never supports they own products, look at the move. Do you think its getting a better support than the wii? hell no

        1. Ps3 got more 3rd party than wii.Wii just had the most exclusive title because ps3 and xbox had to share while wii got it’s own and then some.

  2. 3ds selling pretty good, but not amazingly well, but it will only grow higher leading into the end of the year. NSMB legs starting to show same with pokemon.

Though I know it’s not popular in Japan, LBP for vita bombed hard, I wonder if they will continue to support this guy as their official mascot?

3dsxl already has outsold vita in Japan and vita is tracking above a few hundred units above dreamcast. Sony really let the ball drop on this one :(

          1. The only Sony exclusive I really like atm is Motorstorm…don’t get me wrong, not saying the others are bad game, that would be downright lying….they just don’t appeal to me that much

        1. A lot of people do…. Im one of them, im not a nintendo drone like you. But I am also not a Sony drone, nor one for Xbox. Each system has its ups and downs, Nintendo certainly is not exempt from this.

        2. i do….i like there games, most of them are not on the ps3 anymore, but i like lbp.
you got a problem with me liking a sony franchise?

      1. I know, for me LBP and AC Liberations are tempting me towards the Vita. But I’m saving money for the Wii U (and food and stuff for uni), so no Vita for me, yet.

    1. It seems like the only lbp that really sold well was the first one, doesnt it? I loved the concept and the levels, buf it just seems like the property itself is at its best when its treated like a regular platformer instead of a cutomizeable one.

Hell, maybe sony and ms both get something out of that mentality from applying it to their consoles.

          1. The PSV is a piece of shit that only sells 9k this week, go play PSV games… oh wait, PSV has no games MUAHMUAHMUAHMUAMHUAMHUAMHAUMAHUMAUH

          2. Aeolus is a rebranded and under-cocked basement dweller on the verge of suicide if not for this site where he can artificially inflate his ego by convincing anyone here gives a shit about what he says

      1. these are the same kids who belive that graphics make it a good game or HD=graphics (that makes no sence but ask the drones)
        IM LOOKING AT YOU NESS!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I don’t know what is happening to Sony, they launch an amazing portable, full of capabilities, and until now the PSVita have a few titles that is worth buying. It was so promissing before launch…

    1. promising is an understatement. so many people thought that the vita would blow the 3DS out of the water in sales before it launched and now look at it. public opinion about the vita fell about as fast and hard as its sales did

    2. Are there really “few titles” or just titles that you’re not “interested in”?

I’m actually having trouble deciding what games I want the most due to the sheer amount of good ones coming this year on the device.

        1. Gravity Rush, Ragnarok Odyssey, Disgaea 3, MGS HD collection, Persona 4 Golden (well, if you imported), didn’t go over well for you?

LBP is available right now even, and I’m missing a few other notable titles.

          1. I have uncharted and Gravity Rush. Not interested in any titles you’ve listed, maybe LBP. MGS HD I have on my PS3. I’m waiting for Soul Sacrifice and Sly cooper.

          2. You always says the same (and few games) to believe that it was worth every penny spend in your PSV…. and now PSV is only accumulating fucking dust… GO CLEAN THIS SHIT!

      1. You better decide quick and start buying those good games so Vita Dev’s don’t go out of business.

Buy an extra Vita or two while you’re at at, Sony would appreciate it.

      2. Here’s an idea then, shut of the fucking computer, sit down in a chair with some pen and paper and make a little list. Then discuss the pros and cons of each game on that list to narrow the choices down until you can choose a few of the games your looking at, then go buy them and play them rather than sitting here all day where nobody gives a shit about anything you have to say, then go fuck yourself. :)

  4. These posts are getting annoying can you post what other countries are selling? Or at leats post whenever 3ds is no longer dominating.

    1. What, you don’t want 3ds to succeed.Just because vita isn’t winning, doesn’t mean you have to hate.Or do you just want to see an interesting week where 3ds doesn’t win.

  5. wow just look at this week’s numbers and top 10. if someone new to gaming were to look at this, they’d think the PSP was the newer handheld and that the vita was the last-gen system that’s slowly being phased out

  6. When they first revealed the Vita at E3 my first impression was “it’s just an uppgraded PSP”.
Nothing has changed my opinion since then either.
And the bugs and malfunctions some Vitas had an possibly still have might have had an effect on its sales.
    Not too mention it’s overpriced…
Lower the costs by 30% atleast…

    1. Tell us how one of the best (if not, THE BEST) mobile GPUs on the market, quad core processor, 5 inch OLED display, pretty much every non cellular feature (excluding 3G model) and dedicated gaming controls is “overpriced”.

You’re asking for lower costs on something that’s priced accordingly. Unlike what the 3DS was at launch.

      1. However the memory cards are overpriced, which is the only thing you’ll actually get. Even then, free ones are usually bundled with them.

        1. memory cards are overpriced…. BUT THAT PIECE OF SHIT COSTS $249 (SAME AS PS3)… but memory cards are overpriced…. ok

      2. You’re right. It’s not over-priced.
Sony just proved that they don’t know what people want, and don’t know what sells in the handheld market.

      3. Tell us how one of the biggest trolls on this site has so much time in a day to sit around reading a site dedicated to discussing something he obviously hates with the intent of throwing around insults from a pedastal of anonymity?

  7. Well if people don’t want to buy it then it’s overpriced regardless of its specs…
To me the Vita is just a better performing PSP but with the same type of games that are played the same, nothing new really…
I don’t hate the Vita, I just don’t think it’s original enough to make it that much different from a PSP.
And sine many still buys a bit more PSP than Vitas, they might feel the same in some ways.
Aslong as Xbox continues to suck in Japan I’m happy though.

    1. What makes it worse was for a whole year the Dreamcast was japan-only.

That’s worldwide Vita sales versus Japan only Dreamcast sales for a few more months.

  9. I kind of like how PS2 still sells better than Xbox360 in Jap. I have nothing against the Xbox360 or MS in general but there is nothing of interest to me on the Xbox that I can’t get on something else.
