Wii U Version Of Knytt Underground To Feature Exclusive Content

Last week we reported that Ripstone’s 2D puzzler Knytt Underground is set for release in the Wii U eShop in late 2013/early 2014. Now more news has emerged about the title, revealing that its “Infinity Hype” update will be an exclusive to the Wii U console. Although the original title was previously seen on Playstation systems PS3 and Vita, the Wii U version will feature an abundance of additional content not seen in other versions. Knytt Underground is created by Nicklas “Nifflas” Nygren, who is also responsible for the critically acclaimed NightSky on 3DS.

Nintendo fans are sure to applaud this news, as it arrives in stark contrast to announcements from some third-party developers whose Wii U titles will actually be missing content found on other consoles.

Ripstone creative director Phil Gaskell on Wii U’s exclusive Infinity Hype content:

Since launching Knytt Undergound Nifflas has been hard at work on an update called Infinity Hype which features even more quests, room, and secrets. It makes an already huge game even bigger!

    1. What console are you going to buy? There is a bunch of game game announcement and Microsoft’s 180 to last a year so why lose your time in a site you don’t like?

  1. Got it for free (thank you PlayStation Plus)
This is a Metroidvania game, so pick it up if you like those kinds of games.

    1. What makes you think you got it free? Isn’t plus a service that gives you games has long that you pay for it?
