Nintendo Announces Pokemon Bank, Allows You To Store 3,000 Pokemon

Pokemon_X_Pokemon_Y_logoThe Pokémon Nintendo direct has begun, and after a brief session of looking back to the beginning of the Pokémon games – Red and Blue – we have the first new announcement. The Pokémon X and Y games will look to include an addition to Pokémon boxes on the internet, named simply Pokémon Bank. The idea of the Pokémon Bank is to look towards the future and initiate a ‘cloud’ service. It will include 100 different boxes, giving you the option to store up to 3,000 of the colourful pocket monsters.

Nintendo has also announced that you can use the new Poke Transporter to transfer all your hard-trained Pokémon from Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 into Pokémon Bank. After purchasing the game, you will be able to download Pokémon Bank, though it is a paid service, we’re sure this is a great addition to any Pokémon fan.

  1. Nintendo is the last to start using some type of cloud storage and they already found a better use than the other companies? Wow.

  2. YESS! I was tryna figure out how I was gonna transfer my Pokemon from Black and White 2 because I don’t have a 2nd Nintendo 3DS or whatever. My sister broke my other one, lol. I’ll be happily willing to pay for a Pokemon cloud storage bank

    1. fed up with freeze brian

How many times you are going to repeat yourself mr.brokenrecord? If mario and pokemon are too much for you go and play those awesome rare games on xbox one…. whoops did i write awesome? my bad.

      1. nintendo fanboys are the ones who like those shitty rare games on xbox. dont you like to dance with your mother while playing kinect sports, kinda like you do with the wii also??

Sorry im not fanboy, i play with all consoles and dont complain like you. I dont play those dance games with my wii and i dont have kinect, because i dont buy things that i dont like unlike you. Your comments dont make sense, you are on Nintendo site even when you hate them, you bought wiiu and 3ds even though you dont like them and knew that there will be mario and pokemon. You arent very clever person tbh.

      1. hhh... and so on and so on.

I already paid for the game why should I pay more for a feature that was free in other gens? (pokemon generation transferring)
        (Also I’m really cheap)

  5. The second I read that this Pokémon Bank was a paid service, I knew this was something I would never use. So I don’t care.

  6. Paying to transfer Pokemon ? FOH then again it is only $5 and it means that money wil be put towards making that “cloud service” a solid storage so maybe for me

  8. Hopefully there’s a way to transfer for free with 2 3ds. Anyways, you can still use your normal boxes, this is just an aditional service, like pokémon dream radar or podex 3D pro. I Don’t get why some people get pissed off when they are offered OPTIONAL services… ^_^”

    1. there IS no free other way to transfer pojemon. Gamefreak already said that there is no way for a ds game to communicate witha 3ds game directly. only by some other means, like an app. This is that app.

and dont bother asking me for proof. I read it somewhere on ign or n4g.com. just look it up
