Here’s The Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate E3 Trailer, Coming To West Early 2015

Launching on Nintendo 3DS in the west in early 2015, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be the newest installment in the popular Monster Hunter series. Players will take on the role of a hunter on a grand adventure with a traveling caravan visiting several new locales with hundreds of quests to be cleared on the way. For the first time ever for the Monster Hunter series on a handheld system, players will be able to join up with friends over the internet via the Nintendo Network, as well as the previously available local wireless option. The game will introduce an expanded action set including more vertical and lateral movement, fluid climbing motions, and ability to ride atop monsters. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate also debuts two weapon classes, features new and returning monsters, and spans more locales for the most robust hunting experience than ever before.

Thanks, Russell

  1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

This game makes Watch Dogs look like a pile of disposable waste…

I hope to see my fellow comrades hunting next year!

      1. It sucks. 82% average score in Metacritic supports my opinion. Played the game on PS4 for over 5 hours, didn’t like much of it

        1. Um, 82% is a decent score in my books, first of all. Second, I can’t argue with your opinion(s), but please stop trying to pass the subjective off as objective. It’s a terribly self-centered mentality. Finally, i must admit my opinion of Watch_Dogs may be a bit scewed-see, I bought it on PC, so I ended up with some content that consoles did not have.

          1. Blame Twerkie for spamming the hell out of it to the point where you will get tired of it and hate it.

          2. I think what he means is that the game itself is boring, maybe because there really isn’t anything new that GTA doesn’t already do much better, with the exception of the “hack” mechanic which honestly only gets rid of the ability of the character using his phone to open a door instead of having to interact with something physically. It’s honestly a gimmick that only looks like a good idea on paper but was executed poorly. It’s an average game, enough to keep you entertained and that’s all that matters, but that’s it.

            1. I can see why you’d say that. But I think being able to hack pretty much anything is actually quite fun, especially during car chases and the like. Along with that, the seemless multiplayer stuff is quite interesting. Ubisofts probs testing the waters for The Division.

  2. Not trying to be an ass, but I think this game would suit the Vita much, much better. And if it really has to be on a Nintendo platform, they should have went for the WiiU. Would have been pretty good too.

    1. Most of Sony’s most loyal third party devs have abandoned the Vita. It’s just this rotting pile of mess sitting on a dusty shelf in a game shop now.

    2. I disagree. It looks fantastic in 3D. I’d rather play in 3D than Vita’s “higher res” gimmick. Not to mention Capcom will make a lot more given the massive 3DS install base.

      1. I never even turn on the 3D on my 3DS tbh. And I don’t think it would suit the Vita better because of graphics only, but mostly because of the dual analog sticks. I know, I know, the 3DS the 2nd-stick-add-on, but I think we all know that something like that isn’t the same as having the 2nd stick directly on the device itself. There are a few other reasons why I would have loved to see it on the Vita, but it’s not so important at this point.
Lastly, I truly respect your opinion, but the higher res of the Vita isn’t a gimmick, the 3D feature of the 3DS on the other hand could be seen as one.

        1. My “gimmick” comment is just payback for people calling everything Nintendo a Gimmick. And I think HD is just as much a Gimmick as the Gamepad, 3D effects, etc…
Sony/Microsoft change the user experience with a simple increase in resolution and it’s “Next Gen”, Nintendo changes the user experience and innovates game play and it’s a “Gimmick” – People are just morons.

Anyway. Monster Hunter looks amazing in 3D, and It’s proven successful on Nintendo platforms, so I think that’s why Capcom is keeping it there. It would be nice if they expanded the hunting community to other platforms, but they are nearly broke and have to release it on the platform they KNOW will turn a profit.

    3. I think the reason you said that it is better if it was a Vita game or a WiiU game instead of a 3DS game is because of graphics alone.

  3. DAM that hype trailer!!!! This game is gonna sell sooooooooooooooooooooohohohooaoaoaoaoaoooooo goooodddd!!!

  4. Can’t wait. I wish it was more sandbox, but it’s going to be so fun, especially being able to play with a wider range of hunters!
