Shigeru Miyamoto Names “Pikmin Spotted” Drawing Contest Winners On Miiverse

Pikmin creator Shigeru Miyamoto has announced the winners of the “Pikmin Spotted” drawing contest held on Miiverse last month. The talented director and producer had encouraged Art Academy: SketchPad users to draw Pikmin in or around natural environments in order to celebrate the arrival of the Pikmin short movies coming to Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. With the November 30 deadline for submissions, artists needed to get cracking on their entries quickly.

Over the weekend, Miyamoto named the various winners for the gold, silver and bronze awards, alongside a number of other very worthy drawings chosen by the director himself and MariChan – producer of the Miiting for the Pikmin short movies. You can check out all the winning entries on the official website, here. Let us know if you entered in the comment section below.

  1. Man. Seeing how great other people can draw really depresses me. I could NEVER draw that good. Then again, I’ve never tried. But I know I couldn’t.
