Pokemon Shuffle Has Reached 2.5 Million Downloads Worldwide

Nintendo and the Pokemon Company has confirmed that Pokemon Shuffle has seen 2.5 million downloads since it was released in February. That’s nothing short of a resounding success. To celebrate this the Pokemon Company is giving the Disruption Delay item to all players. The free to play title reached one million downloads on March 2nd which means 1.5m downloads in 3 weeks. It certainly bodes well for Nintendo’s venture into mobile gaming later this year.

    1. Haha that’s pretty much all you can get from it. They only give you five tries, they make you wait 20 minutes for one stupid try and the jewels are .99 cent each. Overall, I’m not very happy with this game!

    1. Exactly. If you play it, folks seem to realize just because it provides opportunities to add to the experience, those opportunities aren’t necessary to make it a fun (and sadly too addicting) game.

The same folks that fall for the freemium buzzwords are probably the same that fall for Clickbait or believe an obviously fake headline before doing research. It’s definitely not for everyone, but it’s a fun game to many *active* users, many of whom haven’t had to pay a dime.

  1. It sounds like they don’t need to go to mobile phones. Maybe they should just try with more of these games on 3DS and Wii U?
