Nintendo 64 games on the Wii U Virtual Console offer viewable scans of their original manuals, as one Twitter user pointed out. N64 and Nintendo DS titles are starting to come to the service, with Super Mario 64 and Yoshi’s Island DS available now. All N64 games that supported the Rumble Pack can rumble via the Wii U GamePad. Upcoming Virtual Console releases include WarioWare: Touched! on April 9th and Donkey Kong 64 on April 16th.

Nonsense 3DS has and gets a lot of games especially compared to the Wii U. Not everything Wii U gets needs to be on the 3DS and same goes for people wanting it in reverse. It’d be nice, but it’s not essential and just cause the Wii U is getting it doesn’t erase the myriad of new and retro titles the 3DS gets.

That’s cool and all but when will Nintendo show 3DS owners the love they deserve with Virtual Console? I want to play SNES, Genesis, N64, GC, etc games on my 3DS. Just imagine playing Doom 64, Super Castlevania IV, or LoZ: TP. Maybe I should track down Reggie and bring it to his attention.

I’m excited for both the DS and N64, but as far as the N64 VC goes what’s the chance we’ll actually get games that are not already on the Wii shop Channel? It would be cool if Nintendo could partner up with some third parties and bring games like Glover or Namco Museum. And Nintendo may just do that, who knows, but it would definitely make the VC even better.

They’re going to do just that. Re-release the same games already available and then when they finally include games that have never been on VC before, it will be games that nobody cares about.
I do have a copy of the Super Mario 64 manual lying about somewhere, so this is quite a cool addition.
