There’s A Bayonetta Pachislot Game In Development

bayonetta_pachislot

We all want a third Bayonetta game, but SEGA seems more interested in creating a Bayonetta pachislot game. For those of you not in the know a pachislot is a Japanese slot machine or gambling machine. No doubt this latest addition will prove to be a hit with those who enjoy nothing more than a good gamble.

  1. Sega… Wtf are you even trying to do? Making money? Sure, this will bring it in but it’s not like you earn respect or anything… They are quite pathetic these days.

    1. Sadly, this will probably make them a lot of money, these machines are very popular where gambling was practically invented. Tons of game series have pachislot machines in Japan, they’re nothing but themed slot machines.

I do agree that Sega has become quite pathetic, and a lot of their decisions have been baffling for far too long, but this one actually makes sense if you live in those types of countries.

And they aren’t investing much time or development on this, like I said it’s a themed slot machine, it isn’t a video game.

    1. Pachinko is a gambling game only found in Japan. If by casual you mean men 25-50 sitting on their ass all day wasting time and money then yes, they aren’t really doing anything.

  2. so its a pachinko machine, well at least sega is not like konami where they neglect their fans by announcing games, cancel them and turn them into pachinko machines while sega makes both games and pachinko machines, sure sega isn’t doing good financially but at least they care enough about making games (that either do ok or bad).

  3. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

    >>>”We will learn”, then just continues down the already doomed path they put in motion since the Ancient War>>>

      1. Actually, that little scene was basically setting up the events for the first Bayonetta. Bayonetta 2 is actually telling us why & how Baldar is the villain of the first game. The first Bayonetta game is Baldar’s future while Bayonetta 2 is Baldar’s past. Bayonetta is using a time traveling mechanic where everything is set in stone as everything has already happened.

        1. In other words, anything that happens in the future effects the past & vice versa when people travel through time. It’s a way the universe itself keeps people from misusing time travel pretty much; mortals, immortals, & gods alike.

    1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3 ~*Proud Owner of the great PS4 & the great n3DS! Oh & I guess the dying mediocre Wii U is okay, too!*~

Hey! You forgot about the space dragon with a head similar to that of a pterodactyl! Yes! I’m talking about me! D:< I'm not chopped liver… even if Sakurai & the anti-playable Ridley people think otherwise!

  4. For those who doesn’t know what pachinko is, IS basically legal gamble in japan
Might as well turn this into a history lesson. See, Slot Machines didn’t exist for a long time in Japan because gambling was technically illegal. To get around this, gambling dens would have Pachinko prize machines, and the “Prizes” you get would be tokens worth an amount of money. You then take that money to a separate building, and they would “Buy” the chips back for the amount on the chip. Ever wonder why, in the original Pokemon Red/Blue, the Game Corner and Prize Corner were separate buildings? It’s because of Japan’s weird relationship to gambling.
Eventually, Pachinko completely supplanted Slot Machines in the cultural space that Slots would have taken, to the point where Slot machines are just called “Pachislo” or “Pachislots.” That means Video Pachinko became a thing, just like Video slots are a thing here. So you get these extremely elaborate machines where, if you get the big jackpot, you get an amazing video. They make Pachinko machines in various themes, and with lots of different liscences, and usually the production values are insanely good.
Compare the OP to this robot anime that came out in the 70s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s2-8Q96rK4 To this fucking radical 2012 OP… produced as the Jackpot visual for a Pachinko machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwPxHNfGSwg
To be clear, Combattler V hasn’t been a thing pretty much since the 70s (Barring appearances in Super Robot Wars) and right now really only exists in the form of a Pachinko/Pachislot machines. It is in Pachislot hell. So is Silent Hill now i hope Bayonetta doesn’t go the same way. So is Castlevania EROTIC VIOLENCE. So are lots of things. It sucks for us, but it’s great for Japanese people who like to gamble.

  5. Thats stupid why would you do that when Bayonetta 2 had a 10/10. Wouldnt common sense tell you Bayonetta 3 had the potential to outsell Bayonetta 2?

  6. Hmm. Bayonetta get’s slot machines and Metroid gets Federation Force…what’s the gaming world come to?

    1. I understand where people are going with this, but like I said above, these machines are very popular outside of what most people commenting here know. Sega has done a lot fucked up things, I agree, but as much as people may hate this, it does make perfect sense for places like Japan.

I can’t say comparing it to Federation Force is a good comparison, because Nintendo wasted a lot of money, time and development on a game no one really wanted. In Asia, people love these slot machines, and this isn’t a video game as I said before, it’s a themed slot machine that doesn’t take away from the development of Bayonetta titles, like Nintendo did with Federation Force.

A better comparison would be Sega wasting their time publishing games like Sonic Boom, while people have waited years for them to localize Phantasy Star 2 and Yakuza games.

  7. If this is a mobile game and not a literal machine then i say 3rd parties fascination with mobile development is ruining everything that made their franchises cool. Just look at Konami
