As you know the ten free Gameboy Advance games went live today for European and North American Nintendo 3DS ambassadors. The games themselves are stretched to better fit the Nintendo 3DS top screen but if you press the Start and Select buttons when loading the games they will display in their native resolution.
Ambassadors can now download their ten free Gameboy Advance games from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. To download your ten free games all you need to do is visit the Nintendo 3DS eShop and head to settings and the select ‘titles you’ve downloaded’ and the games will be there ready to download. Nintendo has finally revealed the ten free Gameboy Advance games that Nintendo 3DS owners are eligible for if they purchased their Nintendo 3DS before the price cut. The games will be available to download this Friday, December 16th. Here’s the full list:
One of the readers of My Nintendo News has informed me that a Nintendo of America customer service representative has told him that the Gameboy Advance ambassador games won’t be coming out until sometime between January and April. Nintendo UK told Eurogamer last Thursday that they were still due out this year.
So guess what folks, i called nintendo to ask about the gba games and the person told me the games wont be out till sometime between Jan and April. WOW!

Update: Nintendo of America has confirmed that the games are coming this year.
Despite Nintendo of Spain listing the ten free Gameboy Advance games for release next year Nintendo has confirmed that the Ambassador Games are still on track for a release this year and will be available before the end of December. Great news for all of us!
“The forthcoming 10 GBA Virtual Console titles available for registrants of the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme will be available before the end of December 2011.

According to Nintendo of Spain the ten free Gameboy Advance ambassador program games that Nintendo promised for early Nintendo 3DS adopters have been delayed until sometime next year. It would make sense as Nintendo has been suspiciously quiet on the subject as they were supposed to be here this year.

According to GoNintendo a number of Nintendo 3DS users have already been sent a notification message via SpotPass to tell them that their Gameboy Advance game will be available to download shortly. Basically keep an eye out for a SpotPass notification which is currently being rolled out to all users that are eligible for the Ambassador Program.
