Metal Slug Anthology the ultimate compilation of the revered Metal Slug franchise which is set to debut on the Wii at launch has gained another addition to its well rounded package in the shape of Metal Slug 6.
SNK Playmore the developers behind the series stated that Metal Slug 6 which made its impact in arcades earlier this year is the 7th title to be included with the Anthology box set, which is also set to include the infamous Metal Slug X.
Sadly no statement has currently been made regarding the European release date for the anticipated side scrolling compilation, but the title is set to become a launch title for the Wii when the console hits store in America this November.
Another reason for me to buy this game!
It certainly appears to be a comprehensive package. The Metal Slug series has intrigued me more and more over the years as its spawned many sequels that have remained 2D, whilst other popular 2D shooters have turned 3D. The Metal Slug series generally sticks to its original roots though it continues to remain popular – there’s definitely something to be admired about that.
