It’s unlikely that the majority of consumers are aware, but there is a device out there for an incredibly cheap price point that will allow retro inclined gamers to play both Snes and Nes titles on one honed system.
The unmatchable device which aesthetically resembles a Sega Megadrive II is meticulously titled the FC Twin, though to differentiate between the rival console it comes equipt with dual cartridge slots allowing gamers to insert both a Snes or Nes cartridge synonymously.
Those who don’t generally advocate pirated or unofficial hardware won’t have to face such ethically inclined questions as the device is perfectly legal. The reason being that the patents on both the Snes and Nes have both expired, leaving gamers with a unprecedented steal at an extremely economical £30 ($60).
This is a pretty cool find, especially for those who already own game cartridges for those systems.
But with those 60 dollars for the console alone, a person could have purchased Seven SNES games or 12 NES games on Virtual Console.
And the cost and rarity of NES and SNES cartridges are going up, too, and the cartridges might not function as well as they used to.
Nevertheless, this would be cool for people who own NES and SNES game cartridges and don’t have a Nintendo Wii.
