  1. What does the peripheral if the Wii is output is only 480p? just change the type of cable connecting the tv . . . jejeje

  2. $75??? holy crap, that’s too much…!
does it really works?? post a video or something………….

  3. Interesting… But, does it really make a difference? I mean, if a Wii game was programmed to be run at 480p, how can it improve if it wasn’t made to run on 1080p ?

Oh yeah, very expensive… I think I’ll pass. But somebody could post a video using it, right?

  4. Interesting….I may get one if the price goes down. However, if a successor is either announced or hinted at at this years E3, I think I’ll wait.

  5. Yah, this is just a resolution booster. It won’t actually change the raw output of the Wii, the which doesn’t have the graphics chip to deal with above SD, but it’ll take that output and blow it up to HD. So yeah, you’re paying $75 for a device that really won’t improve the picture, unless there is some magical hocus-pocus I’m not aware of. And even if you did blow it up, Wii games are programmed with SD textures, so those would look crappy.

The only legit way to get HD Wii is to run it off of emulators like some of those screenshots of SMBWii that were running in HD or to use whatever Nintendo used to get those gorgeous 720p screenshots of Other M. :P

  6. There’s a reason why professional grade converters costs 100’s of dollars. You will still have 480p.

This only helps those who have all HDMI inputs, doesn’t improve a thing, it’s actually probably going to look a little worse

  7. This really improve the image, because I have a “Wii HD Component Cable” and the games like
“Metroid Prime Thrilogy” and “Tatsunoko VS Capcom” really looks awesome in my 1080p Full HD TV.
I don´t think I need any more resolution if the coming games can display that kind of images.
Also, even It does make a great resolution, I don´t think it would be enought reason to spend the money, because if Nintendo can extract a good quality of a sistem that wasn´t suposed to do so, I think that is better to see what Nintendo can give us next.

  8. Yeeeeah…this is pretty skippable. Once you’ve announced 3DS, you gotta come out with more impressive stuff really. It’s like having an action figure with movable parts then giving someone a handful of army men or something.

  9. Dear Friends, Happy Fool’s Day!!

Two retired banking colleagues, Harry and John, were enjoying a few martinis over lunch when John one suddenly mused, “You know, when I was thirty, my erection was so hard that I could grip it with both hands and not be able to bend it.”
    Harry nodded in understanding.
John continued, “When I was forty, I could bend it ten degrees with the greatest of effort. At fifty, I could bend it maybe twenty degrees. And now that I’m past sixty, I can bend it in half with one hand.”
John paused to take a sip of his drink, and then said, “Harry, I wonder just how much stronger I’m going to get.”

    Happy April Fool’s Day!
