Nintendo Wii: Zelda Wii US Release Date Revealed?

Popular US gaming retailer Gamestop has the next Legend of Zelda title for the Nintendo Wii listed for release, November 1st 2010.

Whilst this date can only be described as speculation at present, Nintendo have continuously stated that they’re aiming to release the highly anticipated title at the end of the year.

  1. Well we just have to wait and see. Might just be like a filler date so people can start pre ordering now, kind of like Gamestop and its April 1st release date for HG/SS
But it does kind of make sense since its near Christmas

  2. Yeah, I can believe that. Seems reasonable. I wonder if Gamestop has ever been wrong about these. I could just be a placeholder date too…

  3. usually when a game store releases a game release date and it starts with the first day of the month (like November 1st 2010), they’re saying it’s coming out sometime within that month (Unless of course, the devs push the date back due to unforeseen setbacks. The date given by GameStop is determined by what the devs/NOA told them.)

@ JB – We have next to no details about the game, but from what it appears to be, to me it looks like it comes in sometime after Ocarina of Time, but before Twilight Princess. In terms of where it takes place, they said that it will NOT take place in Hyrule. So no. It’s not in the same world as Twilight Princess.

  4. This game is gonna be awesome. Heard it’s different world but also a direct sequal(?) following Link many years later

  5. This is pathetic, when will people stop reporting Gamestop’s guesstimated launch dates of games as “possible leaked/revealed launch info”. Gamestops crapshoot launch date predictions are standard practice by now and everyone, especially those following Nintendo games, should be well used to it by now.

    1. “In the same pic you can clearly see that games such as Monster Hunter Tri and Metroid: Other M all show correct US dates, so it’s not all complete guess work.”

Though of course this information could have been published after the Nintendo Media Summit where those dates were confirmed anyway.
