Nintendo Wii: Treyarch Committed To Call Of Duty: Black Ops Wii

Development studio Treyarch have reaffirmed their commitment to Call Of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo Wii.

A Treyarch representative has stated to gaming press that the development studio are trying as hard as possible to make the Wii version of Call Of Duty: Black Ops every bit as impressive and immersive as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

“Whereas we’re able to create the same assets that can be displayed on the PS3, PC and the 360, we actually have to do quite a bit of work both on the technology and the assets and the investment is heavy to get it working on the Wii.”

“What we want to be able to do is create the most intense, the most cinematic ‘you can’t believe this is running on the Wii situation that you could imagine.”

“That’s what people expect from Call Of Duty. They expect to be blown away. We’re going to blow you away.”

    1. But MW2 was made by Infinity Ward. Treyarch makes the better CoD games and doesn’t seem to be in it for the money like IW was.

I’m just glad that they seem dedicated for the Wii version. I hope this translates into a zombie mode on the Wii, unlike WaW, where they noticeably omitted many things

  1. That’s great they appear motivated to make this a solid release for the Wii. Hope that translates to a great product come release! :D

  2. I’ll buy it if they make it compatible with the Classic Controller/Pro. I like my motion controls, but I think until a good shooter is made, keep it joystick enabled.

  3. I’m glad to see the cod game getting worked on for the wii. I’m a clan leader for mwr and eceryone in my clan 30+members can’t wait toget the new black ops game and want me to have a duel clan with black ops and mwr. I hope for w wii2 some day but if you came match or come close to the other units that would be great.
