Nintendo: Hacker Stopped From Publishing 4,000 Nintendo Users Details Online

A Spanish hacker has been arrested by police following a threat that he would go public with personal information on 4,000 Nintendo users.

The hacker approached Nintendo’s Spanish division, Nintendo Ibérica and attempted to blackmail the company according to Spain’s Interior Ministry. The hacker apparently managed to hack into Nintendo’s database and threatened to publish the information on the Internet via an online forum if Nintendo didn’t agree to his demands.

Nintendo decided not to comply with his demands and subsequently the hacker decided to leak a small number of users information online forcing Nintendo Spain to contact the police. Thankfully the hacker was caught before he decided to leak the entire database on the Internet. The individual was arrested in the southern Spanish province of Malaga.

  2. No es así como lo contais.

El hacker no quiso chantajear, tan solo avisar a Nintendo de que, su página web era muy insegura.

YA QUE REDACTAIS, HACED EL FAVOR DE REDACTAR BIEN.

  3. This totally FALSE. Nintendo didn’t have any kind of security on their databases, and this individual mailed Nintendo advertising he was going to sue them because of this according to the data protection law.I don’t know what kind of treats they did with Spanish politicals, but now, this man has been arrested because of trying to do the right thing. Don’t believe this please, they are all dirty LIES!
