Legendary games designer Shigeru Miyamoto recently have the chance to sit down with British news publication The Guardian to discuss his future plans at Nintendo.
Obviously Miyamoto didn’t give away too much regarding what Nintendo have in store for the future but he did comment on both Super Mario 3D and the previously discussed The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
Are there any plans to adapt other older Nintendo games for the 3DS console?
Not really. We would like to create more new titles. For example, this year we are making Super Mario 3D, but it’s not really a remake of [the Wii’s Super Mario] Galaxy. The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past could be one of them. I think it would be good to see that world with a layered 3D effect.
I just want a Majora’s Mask 3D and I’m happy.
I don’t want every Zelda game on the 3DS to be remakes or ports, there’s so much potential for a new one!
Give us Majoras Mask. I mean come on you already have the ocarina of time 3d engine to do the work..
And then make a NEW Zelda game, and i’ll be happy.
Just announce a specific release date for Skyward Sword. You’ve put out a brand new system and gave a release date for a ground up 3D remake Zelda for this system, yet there’s no specific date for the Wii Zelda.
Agreed. MM is a must, but I have a feeling we’ll have a new one and then MM in like 3 years. I don’t care as long as we get one
those remake would be great to new generation of gamers!!!! just let them all flow nintendo!

In all honesty, majora mask hasn’t been considered brcause its considered the black sheep of the zelda games. But the 3d thing of A link to the past interests me a lot since I haven’t played that one.
Er, not really. Adventure of Link or the CD-I zeldas are more Black Sheep than MM. MM was different, but it really pave the way for a believable world filled with real characters that had their own stories, which WW eventually capitalized on. I’d say its a fairly well loved entry in the series and for good reason.
Personally though I think the only problem with Adventure was it’s difficulty and ambiguity, both products of early gaming more than the specific title itself. It was more clear what to do than LoZ, but a far cry from the instruction we get in games today.
If there were, I wouldn’t buy it. $250 is enough.

Remakes are good. The 3D effect and new graphic textures make them look like new.
But yes, the 3DS needs something new to push up the sales!
I’m a Zelda games Fan since “The Legend of Zelda”, of course, and one of my favorites games, apart of OoT, is A Link to the Past… from my point of view, has the second most long quest in the series. I just love it.. the temples, the fields, the characters, items, bosses, everything. I would love to see this game in a 3D perspective mode, but i want too Majoras Mask for 3DS, as this game was one of the less played by me. Only played once (from start to finish 100%),
Anyways, i love Zelda, and Nintedo <3

Not this year, SEGA has already partnered with Nintendo for M&S at the 2012 Olympic Games for both Wii & 3DS
I like the remakes, it’s gonna bring good sales.

you know how majoras mask is right after ocarina of time. well they should make a remake of majoras mask on 3ds then make a tottaly new zelda title taking place right after after majoras mask. this would make like a trilogy?

will nintendo make a majoras mask remake for the n3ds. I hope so because i want redemption on that game, like i had on ocarina of time 3d. so it would be suprising if they didn’t remake it on the n3ds.
