Nintendo: Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva To Be Released In North America In November

Viz Media has announced that Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva will be making its debut in North America on November 8th 2011. The Eternal Diva will be available on both Blu-Ray and DVD. The anime movie takes place between the events of Professor Layton and the Last Specter and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. Who’s thinking of picking this up?

  1. Haha about a year after it came out in the UK >:] It’s a decent movie, but it’s in a lot of bargain buckets here now, so don’t rush out to get it.

  2. Wait, so the movie takes place after the first game (Last Specter being the first in the storyline) and before the third game? (Diabolical Box being number three in the storyline, saying that Curious Village is number two in the storyline). Thats a three game storyline right there. I started watching it on youtube, first quarter maybe. By GOD it was amazing, but I didnt think it had any tie in with any games. But I ddid notice the same assistant in the preivews for Last Specter, in the movie as well. Blu-Ray collector’s edetion, here i come!

    1. That’s what I thought too..
      You have the
      1…Last Specter
      2…Curious Village
      3…Diabolical Box
      4…Unwound Future

And the Mask of Miracle will come after the Eternal Diva but before the Curious Village.
Hope i cleared some things up :)

  3. So will it be the same voice actors as in the UK version of the movie, or will it be the voice actors from the US version of the games?

  4. I imported the PAL version, and it’s absolutely brilliant if you are a fan of Layton. Every time the theme from the game plays I get chills. I will most definitely be picking up the Blu-Ray. Hopefully there’ll be a Blu-Ray/DVD combo.
