Nintendo has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition will be released on 28th September. The game will be absolutely free to celebrate The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary and will be available through Nintendo DSiWare.
There are 2 exclusive new areas to play each containing 3 new levels to complete which have been specifically made for this edition of the game. By completing the new areas, each Link will be able to unlock additional special skills. Fans of the franchise will be familiar with the Hurricane Spin and Master Sword and both return to help you on your quest.
Mastering the challenging new area ‘Hero’s Trial’ which contains elements from other levels as well as 3 new maps will allow you to unlock the Hurricane Spin, whilst tackling the new area
‘Realm of Memories’ made up of famous locations from selected titles in The Legend of Zelda series, unlocks the Master Sword.
What about the 3DS eShop?
I read somewhere that it will be available in the eShop as well, I could be wrong on this though.
Can’t wait!
If what you said about the eshop is true then I would get it.
DSiWare is in the 3DS eShop
but um what if you just really want to play it but on ur 3ds you dont have eshop :( i dont have internet on it so wat do i do i really wanna have zelda on there!!!
And all the Wii gets is a flippin’ soundtrack?
And Skyward Sword?
^ xD
SKYWARD SWORD!!!!! :D
that and a golden super limited edition Wii remote plus with the hyrule crest in silver and skyward sword
This sounds absolutely amazing! :D
I wish there was some way to play this one player…Picking up nonetheless lol Free Zelda!
surprise for you! there is a 1 player mode in this edition! that’s what i read in other website
So there’s no WiFi?
Ugh. Nintendo, you will never learn.
Why go through the trouble of making new levels and then NOT put in Online multiplayer, couldn’t possibly have been more work for them to do that. Personally I don’t really know a lot of people with a 3DS/DSi so I probably won’t even be able to play the game. Bravo, Nintendo, bravo.
i so agree
they made the game playable alone.
Not worth playing alone…
really, a free ZELDA game and its not worth playing alone? i will probably almost always play this alone, and when im with my cousin
Actually it kinda is. Too me anyways. I thought the game was awsum. Dos any1 no how 2 get other levels in that game?
well when you beat the first 3 stages atleast once, you get a new place where you get to fight the final boss. then there is two more areas (both with three stages) later in the game, but i forgot how to get’em.
Really? Are you really pissed off about simply no multiplayer on a ZELDA game that they’re giving out for FREE with extra content? Wow… Take about undeserving customers…
Talk*
Considering it is a multiplayer only game… yes. Not everyone has people down their street to play it with.
@Ben
This game can be played single player.
The mult-player is WiFi. It’s just not online WiFi, it’s local WiFi.
Uhm there is wifi :/ i read on nintendo you can connect with other 3ds systems and play with friends
love then game :D
but it kinda sux that the screen will have to be strectched inorder to fit it :/
thts probably the ONLY thing i dont like about the 3ds
The screen doesn’t get stretched… The top screen just has black areas on the sides.
It is still stretched, just not out of aspect. Unless you hold select at startup.
It will be fun playing through it with the wife; do I really need 4 people to enjoy this game?
No, I saw some where else that it’s got a single player mode. Your able to do so I think with one CPU Link following you. It’s playable with one player up to four players. So you and your wife can play together :)
Some online functionality would’ve been nice. It’s Four Swords! Without that type of multiplayer interaction, it’d be like a hamburger without the meat. Son I am disappoint.
Awesome! I never tried this game.
Glad my boyfriend has a 3DS so we can play together! It was so fun when I tried it on the
Gameboy Advance, and the GameCube game is great! Glad to see they’re giving out free, it’s nice to see Nintendo promoting their DSi/3DS with free stuff like this!
Did i ever have this game? It had a multiplayer where you plug in gameboy advances together to play together. DID I HAVE THIS GAME BEFORE ITS BUGGING ME?!
